LIVE! Match discussion 2014/15

Gued with his one contribution a match. It was a good pass tbf. Don't know what Goodman's been watching, he's been rubbish.

He hasn't really. You're just blinded by your pre-conceived opinion of him. The lad who scored has been rubbish.

I could have done without the six hundred stepovers before the pass though.

Yes I have imagined him giving the ball away all night.

I must say I've really enjoyed having a full day of Football League watching Wolves v Forest, Ipswich v Bournemouth and then Derby v Watford. Then we'll have a full day of Prem footy tomorrow with more live games.

It's helped with the Championship games all having something riding on them. But I could easily do consecutive days for the top two leagues on a regular basis!

Is that inversely better or worse than Doherty's one mistake a match?

A positive contribution generally outweighs a negative one. I don't think I have ever limited Doherty to one mistake a game FWIW. He went through a stage earlier in the season of costing us at least one goal a game which is not the same thing.

I agree. Also shows that there are some good quality teams playing their trade in the Championship.

Have to say, from watching the same three games, Ipswich look the weakest side. That probably means they'll hammer us in a couple of weeks!

Ipswich have been riding their luck for a few weeks now. They're doing my head in.

Beat them at our place though and it's irrelevant.

:D

To be honest the charge could probably have been more accurately attributed to Stears until recently.

Wolves, Derby, Watford, Bournemouth, Boro... they all play good football on the ground. Ipswich seemed to be a bunch of cloggers - although I haven't seen much of them, admittedly.

Ipswich won't make the top 6 along with one other, looked very average this afternoon and fortunate to get away with a point.

Decent result in the end that after the red card.

I don't think we can be too disappointed with two draws. Three of us on 68 points now.

Wolves are joint sixth after today's results. I think that sounds better than eighth...

I think seven out of the eight broadly speaking play good football, Ipswich being the exception. They are what Mick does when he has very little or nothing to spend, he gets a limited squad organised and performing way above their abilities. Hard to knock that really, I'm sure he'd like to sign better players and I defy anyone to say that our 08/09 team didn't play good football when we were on our game.

Clearly though none of the teams are that good or they'd be running away with it. All of them are quite substantially flawed in some way.

I still like Gued!

Can't fault his effort. Looked like he was about to pass out after busting a gut to get forward near the end there too.

Edit: Didn't see the whole game, so can't comment on how sloppy he might've been in possession.

The Addy bandwagon is full up tonight!
