You quite often get players who fit into a system at international level despite not being in very good form club wise. Anya is the same. Watford play him left wing back most of the time when he blatantly isn't one, but looks pretty good under Strachan. He's been a good appointment, Mulgrew has been excellent under him too.

Anya's an understandable one as he's never a defender in his life, but Maloney's not being played anything like out of position for Chicago. He's just been shit.

Who knows. Strachan makes the money for a reason, I guess.

Maloney's an OK player, should have done a lot better with the ability he has. Always thought it must be an attitude thing. I suppose if it's Strachan who can get the best out of him he will pick him.
