Refs have been slated a lot recently and rightly so but Michael Oliver has been top draw tonight so far and is the best ref around by distance at the moment.

Bit of a chasm between him and the rest at the moment sadly. Don't think anyone else is even close.

I always felt if Howard Webb took charge of a Wolves match we would get a fair game and that is how I feel with Oliver. Whereas Halsey used to fill me with dread as Dowd, Attwell, Deadman, Probert do now.

Is Marriner still working? He's usually alright if Chelsea aren't involved.

Too often we see threads dominated by how poor a refereeing performance is. Just great stuff to be able to say Oliver has been pretty much flawless tonight.
