I don't think they need to do too much recruitment wise. Their defenders are generally a good bunch but they've all had shocking moments in the first half of the season, look to be on top of that to some extent now though. The midfield options are as good as they've had for a long time, Gundogan, Sahin and Bender for the deep roles, Kampl, Reus, Kagawa, Mkhitarayan and Blaszczyowski ahead of that. Think Immobile has turned out horrendously as a Lewandowski replacement so probably want to look at that, don't think Aubamayeng really plays the same way. Then only other gaping hole for me is between the sticks but I've never raged Wiedenfeller.

They'd be as well giving Langerak the gig for the rest of the season (at least in the league) to see if he's up to the task.

Replacing Lewandowski was always going to be one of those things that was easier said than done - I hadn't seen a huge amount of Immobile as I don't follow Serie A that closely so I didn't really know how he'd do, as it is he just doesn't fit the system at all. Ramos has been shit, he really should have done a bit better given his experience of the league. They do need to look at bringing a new forward in, honestly wouldn't surprise me if they brought Mario Gomez back to Germany.

I guess I meant more if Klopp even stays there. After a season like this he may feel it's time for a change, and there's sure to be interest in him from elsewhere.

Their personnel is a bit confusing. Listing off the names you can hear the talent they have but at the same time are they really players you'd bet on against the likes of Bayern and even Wolfsburg anymore? I'm not so sure. Hell, I'd even bank on Cahanoglu (sp) and Bellarabi from Leverkusen to crack Dortmund's current side.

I'm probably being too harsh (aforementioned bias and all that) but there's just something about Dortmund's current crop of players that strikes me like they're never going to be as good as advertised.

Immobile was absolutely brilliant for Torino last season, I'm a bit shocked he's flopped like he has. Being paired with Cerci obviously helped both of them as they've not been the same since moving on.

I can definitely see some sort of swap deal with Immobile going to the Purples and Gomez heading back home.

It was always going to be tough, as you say, but I don't think they're even barking up the right tree with either of the summer recruits.

As with you I knew little of Immobile but he just looks a busy grafter of a player, sort of an Italian Jon Walters. Doesn't seem to have anything like the awareness of Lewandowski to play with his back to goal and link play. Ramos I had seen play once before, when I went to Berlin, and all he did in that game was fall over when put clean through. He just looks like a big lump of a player, Columbian Carlton Cole.

I suppose they'll lose Kehl this summer but Kirch is already around to cover that role and Durm can cover either fullback position. They're pretty well balanced other than either end to my reckoning, both need a good look at.

Check out Zach Clough's goal for Bolton today, seriously impressive.

He's come out of nowhere, that boy.

Lovely strike from Henderson to give Liverpool the lead.

Shite from Kompany thought to lose out to Coutinho in the build up.

Decent game, two good goals and some good play in between. I'm impressed with Liverpool's play and managing to work the system quite well but sterling isn't clinical enough to play as the main striker

That is just an outstanding strike. Probably deserved as well.

Yeah they've been the better team but city being beaten by two absolute stunners

Good win for Liverpool, I expect them to get top 4 alongside Arsenal now. United 5th, Spurs 6th

Bradley johnson hit that very, very hard.

Looks like Zouma in midfield for Chelsea today?

Zouma has played there before. Never seen Cahill in there.

I fancy Spurs today. Chelsea have been bang average in recent weeks.

By the same token Spurs got schooled vs Fiorentina and were shite against West Ham. They've been Eriksen + Kane + nothing for months.

The way i've seen the team listed out have Cahill's name between Ramires and Fabregas with Zouma in amongst the defenders.

I'm with Dan, Chelsea may not be as flamboyant as they have been but they grind them out when they need to, Spurs are overly reliant on Kane/Eriksen for the most part and have nicked loads of results recently in the dying stages.
