It's hard to argue with his handling of Sterling and Sturridge to be fair. He's done an excellent job with the pair of them.

I think people let their dislike for Rodgers cloud their judgement on his ability as a coach.

It varies. At times he looks quite effective, at others (as pre-Sturridge this season) he looks utterly clueless.

That is a disgusting challenge by Ashley Barnes on Matic, I think I would have reacted the same as Matic.
Barnes knew exactly what he was doing, how Martin Atkinson didn't see is beyond me.

I don't even think what Matic did was that bad he just sort of ran into him. Barnes surely should be getting a ban for that?

But if Atkinson has seen it isn't it end of case or has that rule changed, the least Barnes should have done after the tackle was to see if Matic was ok instead he walks of as nothing happened.
It's another dark day for referees today again I'm afraid.
