LIVE! Match discussion 2014/15

6 seasons ago Derby managed the awesome 11 point haul. Other teams that went down were Blues and Reading. Not convinced they were particularly good sides. Fulham survived on 36 points. Bolton with 37 points.

I still think West Brom will struggle, especially with their run in.

I agree and they have dropped points at home to Sunderland and Palace, wouldn't be surprised if Berahino has his head turned in January either. Even still I think they scrape through like they did last season.

Leicester will struggle. A couple of decent results against the top sides has masked the one point haul from the four games against Palace, Burnley, Newcastle and Swansea who had all been on awful runs. They are fourth bottom.

Lose Berahino and they're going down, it's as simple as that. They can't keep flirting with the trapdoor forever.

Lose Berahino and they have £25m to chuck at the January window. That can fix a lot.

Their issue is the run-in which is fucking awful for them. They need to be on about 34 or 35 points minimum with five fixtures to go.

Albion don't win many games. In the whole of 2013 and 2014 they have won 13 league games. They might survive this year just because of the pure dreck at that end of the league.

We would be no different in all likelihood, let's not have illusions of being Southampton II.

Dear me Villa. That was a very poor performance.

How the fuck is Lambert still in a job there? Dour as their manager's press conferences.

Leeds & Watford have had 5 managers between them since Villa last scored.

All over and a well deserved victory for QPR. Aston Villa clearly have problems at both ends of the pitch. Lambert will have his work cut out to turn this around.

The new contract he's just signed has made any potential change even more costly.

Can't understand him being given a four year deal after two very mediocre seasons, they don't seem to be moving forward at all if anything moving backwards.

I can't understand why the Villa fans on Villa Talk are rating Sanchez as their best player. He looked shocking to me - he didn't stop giving the ball away all night.

Sanchez was dreadful. Guzan was their best player tonight. Nobody else did anything.

Right, Ron Vlaar on that first goal. He got wanked over in the World Cup but that is so weak for me. So weak. He lets Zamora push him away. I want my centre half bullying Zamora. You're in the team to physically dominate us - well you're not going to. Vlaar is a big guy. So weak. Insipid. Subordinate. And goal.

Sanchez looked lost and totaly off the pace for this level, you can understand why Villa fans can't stand Lambert with his whole philosophy and how they set up.

Good work by Zamora but I have to agree. Zamora had an age to make that cushioned layoff.

The second, no-one is particularly at fault bar Sanchez. The run by Austin is absolutely excellent and Vargas put the ball on the money.

Sanchez looked good before his injury... rushed back too soon?

That was a pretty clear yellow for Dawson. :)

We should buy that Bournemouth right back,I base that on a good 7 second run!
