I don't know if he really believes that or if he's just a fucking idiot.Hunt says Labour will increase borrowing, and that will increase debt.
They really have no shame
It really is quite incredible, it was around this time last year that Truss managed to make things worse than they already were at significant cost to pretty much everyone, they're such cheeky bastards.Hunt says Labour will increase borrowing, and that will increase debt.

So she did have a meeting with Newscorp. And the transparency declaration wasn’t made. And the reason was oversight by the department she is responsible for. Apart from that, it’s an outrageous lie.
Of course they couldn't dream of scrapping the part in London. The Times are reporting that the Old Oak to Euston link will go ahead but everything outside of Birmingham to be scrapped. I'd imagine that would be the most expensive part of the construction.
They've managed to to have the double whammy of spending an extortionate amount of money and having a white elephant because without the northern sections the whole project is pointless. It feeds into the narrative of x billion spent to get from London to Birmingham 10 minutes quicker when the project should have been about connectivity, capacity and levelling up.
FFS they are even putting it into their client rags overnight that Sunak will have some sort of mission to fix potholes around the country. Do they really think that we are all so thick as to think that the country wouldn't be able to afford such things if HS2 continues?
Transport Sec at Conference: First of all, I’m calling time on the misuse of so-called 15-minute cities.
There’s nothing wrong with making sure people can walk or cycle to the shops or school, that’s traditional town planning. But what is different, what is sinister and what we shouldn’t tolerate is the idea that local councils can decide how often you go to the shops and that they ration who uses the road and when and they police it all with CCTV.
