Leicester (H) 19.01.19

Leicester have the best away form outside of the Top 6 and will set up in a similar way as others we have struggled against. I'd play Saiss at LCB, Vinagre LWB and Donk in midfield personally. We'll see if Nuno has learnt any lessons from the games against teams set up to frustrate, if not 2-0 Leicester would be a decent bet given other results

Donk looks a better defender to Saiss for me, and Saiss has looked good everytime I've seen him play in midfield this season. Not a huge amount of minutes between them, but I'd go with Donk at the back and Saiss in the middle if we're talking straight swap.

Saiss plays left of defence for Morocco so should be ok there but if he was the number 1 option to cover Boly he surely would have played there last night at some point

My thinking is more around Saiss being left footed and Donk right. Boly's left is decent even though it's not his natural one, not seen enough of Donk to have a view on his. Saiss' experience has been on the right of the three, so I don't think you can use that to benchmark how he'd play on the left.

I think Nuno prefers an opposite foot on each side - helps with the curling ball out to the WB, also with pushing players out wide when defending.

I'd pick Dendoncker over Saiss any day. Just think the first is a better player overall.

Rest would be pretty much the same eleven as most matches.

Urggh.. Early kick off... Fuck off sky... Lackluster performance and subdued atmosphere guaranteed.
Rui
Bennett - coady - donk
Doc - saiss - Neves - vinagre
Costa - jiminez - jota

Agree with this.

Paul Merson at it again:

I watched Wolves against Manchester City and I turned it off after 20 minutes - it was cringe-worthy and embarrassing how much better City were than Wolves, who didn't touch the ball.

He then predicts us to win 2-1...

Lawro has us down to win 2-0.

It's not a lie, but then he would have to correct himself. It would look okay if he wrote "how much better City are than all the EPL sides, except Liverpool". Much more accurate and fair, I'd guess. Not many can boast about being managed by Guardiola with a dream team of players like City has.

Alright Timmy III....He finishes that off by saying we are a good team and it just shows how far ahead City are of the rest.

Does he mention the fact we had 1 less man...?

what's happening with this then? are we all meeting in a greasy spoon for breakfast? In a tea shop, with pinky fingers extended? Or is my knowledge of what time pubs open way out of date? :)

I won't be doing anything before the game

Will be in about 11 and more than likely sleepwalking to the Royal London
