Leicester 1 - 0 Wolves: Verdict

We can't do that as Trincao can only really play on the right.
This was the main issue for me. Trincao wasn't having a great game, it was his first in English football, and should have been replaced by MGW earlier. If he'd have made a double substitution with Donk then MGW could have gone over to the left (narrower than Traore was) and allowed Traore to have a go at Thomas instead for 20 mins. At least give the opposition defence a different threat to worry about.

Yes he's better cutting in off the left, but he also can't cross from the left either. His best run of form was the purple patch where he couldn't miss Jimenez with his crossing. Was probably worth a shot while we needed a goal.

Having MGW narrower on the left side would also have allowed RAN to come on (which he should have done with Marcal on a yellow) and overlap past MGW, which he wouldn't have done as effectively with Traore, because Adama doesn't tend to pass outside of him when he gets the ball. He ignored Marcal on the overlap a couple of times.

Hell, he could have even brought RAN on wide left IMO. He needed to try something different though. Bringing MGW on for 4 mins and Silva on for even less wasn't it.

the late subs and mou dead balls are so aggravating to see

thought at the very least that basic stuff would get fixed under a new regime

Read that this morning and it was a good read. Not sure it solves his fundamental issues though.

Still cant't wait to be sat on the sideline watching him on Sunday - nothing like seeing him do his thing up close.

If Bruno plays him there for the season like that I think the Adama debate will finally be over one way or another. Wolves history would suggest he'll be a goalscoring hero or booed when he misses yet another 1 on one

Everybody hopes Lage can unlock Traore's inner MBappe.

I don't think that will ever happen.

What we need to do is wait for Adamas next purple patch and then flog him the window afterwards

I can't see him being a goalscoring hero tbh but I hope the booing scenario doesn't come to pass.

Perhaps it's because he's an attention-grabbing, hard to ignore kind of player, but I've never understood the intense dislike he engenders in some. We all have players that don't do it for us, but he's still one of ours

DW may want a word about Darren Ferguson.

Kenny would then like a chat about Rohan Ricketts.

They were a pair of lazy fuckers - not trying, certainly for me, winds me the fuck up. Even now I get intensely annoyed when I see Ferguson's face.

Whatever Adama is he's not lazy.

Yeah I saw both those players too. Don't recall them helping propel us to a 7th place top flight finish.

As Tredman says, Adama gives his all. I get he's not everyone's cup of tea, but all the talk about him being thick and the daily clamour to sell him is borderline distasteful at times.

He had an average settling in season, a very good second season and a poor one last time out (along with most of our players and manager). He cost half a Fabio, and only marginally more than Cutrone. He has his flaws and gives his all. Darren Ferguson he is not.

I don't think anybody can accuse Adama of not trying.

Mo Camara tried a lot.

Name dropping old players does not an argument make

Yeah and I don't hate Mo, its not his fault he was a bit shit. Bit like Rankine - I hated that he played for us, but at least he tried.

I wonder if anyone can name-drop a shit player from the 90s/00s who ever got nine PL assists 🤔
