Leicester 0-0 Wolves We've been roobbed Verdict thread:

Feeling completely calm about it now. It's a good point away to a very decent side. And we had most of the best chances. Sure, the non-goal is a frustration, but at the end of the day the rules have been implemented completely correctly so it is hard to moan about that.

Most of us would have taken an away draw v Leicester & that's what we got.

Could have been better, but could have been worse as well.

Move on - nothing the see here (VAR disputes will go on all season)

Forgot how bad match threads are. Need to swerve them this season I think.

They mostly seem to think they got away with it a bit today and Ben Chilwell seems to be becoming their Lee Naylor.

Absolutely spot on, Pad.

Not sure the rules have been implemented properly. From the still i've seen the ball hits Boly right at the top of the arm by the shoulder, not handball imo even under the new laws.

It definitely hit his arm. No doubt about it.

The rule is poor (don't punish identical offences differently depending on whether you're attacking or defending) but it was the correct decision. Sadly.

Looked to me like it rolled up his arm from elbow to shoulder and then off his head before Leander struck it.

The rule is the rule, no way around that. It's stupid that they have that rule but a differing one for defending sides but hey ho. As long as it is consistent throughout the season for all clubs then we can't complain. If changes are made to the rule mid-season or it starts not being applied, that's when we should raise issue.

It's right at the very top though and on to his shoulder and head. Maybe i'm looking through gold tinted specs but i'm not convinced that even under the new laws it is actually hand ball. If it hit him around the elbow or just above fair enough as you can clearly see that is his arm but that's not the case.

Rules have always been applied that way, tbf. What is a yellow card in the 50th minute might not be in the 4th. What is a foul outside the penalty area might not be given inside it.

I've seen that sort of inconsistency across the board since I started watching soccer, and it's the one part of the sport that I've never really been able to reconcile.

So from that it looks like the ball hits his forearm and up on to his shoulder, fair enough then even if the law is bullshit. Just as a point about officials, why is Andre Marriner allowed to referee us with him being a Villa fan from Birmingham?

Why is he allowed to referee at this level at all?

True but he clearly shouldn't be refereeing us. Obviously you don't see everything at the game but it felt like he was blatantly cheating at some points in the game today. Fouls on Jota, Jimenez weren't given but then clear dives or non challenges resulted in free kicks for them.

headed onto his arm by the Donk, but jesus christ he wasn't even looking at the ball at the time.
still after a big trip on thursday, we held a good side relatively easily and had Diogo and Raul had their shooting boots on today.........

I still really want to see that Jota/Evans one in the second half again. They never showed a replay on the coverage but it looked like he just took him out to me - certainly didn't play the ball. Stonewall red if he gives a foul as he's in.

They don’t seem big fans of Maddison either which is interesting.

Definitely looked a foul from where i was, Marriner didn’t even acknowledge the challenge at all.

Raul went down clutching his head after a challenge from (I think) Evans and he didn't stop play either, he was fucking terrible today.
