Just how good were/was/is/are (Wolves Edition)

We didn't need Afobe, none of his goals really mattered and they were all against absolute rubbish. Insurance policy though.

Lack of respect though.

Yo Ben, when we sign you and don't ask you to even give a comment on the website, let alone do a video, the writing is on the wall mate.

Came as a shock to him a couple of days before the move.......despite him talking about the transfer with Rowett 4 weeks earlier.

Kissing the badge in 2015 when he'd been spending months angling for a move (off the back of half a good season as well).

Like I said in the ex-Wolf thread, I hope he's learned where he went wrong, stops burning bridges and gets back to what he can be. I don't have a huge amount of goodwill towards him, although obviously I'm dreadfully sorry for his personal circumstances over the last year.

Just realised Locadia had signed for an MLS team in January! Blimey, must be worse than I thought.

Edwards - ah what to say

Very limited, but enthusiastic (& by all accounts a very decent individual) - usually looked like someone who had won a competition to play on the team & not his fault that so many managers kept playing him & in many cases in innapropriate positions.

Will still thank him for the last minute winner v Leeds in the 4 - 3 win as its always a good day when you do them over.

Well, we did bring him on and immediately totally lose control of midfield when we were playing ok and winning before that.

He was about neutral that day.

I don't hate Edwards the man but what he represented for Wolves at the time, I despised.

I'll dig the clip out later but think it was Rotherham or Blackpool at home clean through on goal Dicko to his right could've put one on a plate for Nouha and he screws it wide. It was right up there with the very worst misses I've seen.

As a player he wasn't up to much, but as a man I think he's a diamond. Does a lot for charidee, mate.

15 seconds in. Dicko's reaction :icon_lol:

Stunning opening goal mind...

I've seen a lot worse than that miss at Wolves. Going to take a lot a beat Neto's from this season in Espanyol and he also had a similar one to Edwards this season. A simple ball across and we score but he went for it himself and got it wrong(can't for the life of me remember who against though)

Nearly missed the opener too! We could all see his limitations as a footballer but as others have alluded to in a specific role in midfield he could and did do a job for us. Should never have been first choice, a number 10 or a wide right midfielder but to refer to him as a competition winner is wide of the mark.

I've seen many a Wolves player not pass in those situations and it always look dreadful when they miss with Neto against Villa this season being one of them.

Watford at home. Could have squared it for Cutrone after a superb run.

Edit: I dunno, was sure it was that game.

yesterday spent praising Neto and now its turning into glorious moments he has fucked up. Poor lad

Could have been another one! Didn't we go straight down their end (Villa) after they had pulled one back and missed?

Edit - There was one in the Villa game - Not as bad as Dave's though as Mings was giving a half arsed attempt to cut off any attempted pass.

I like Neto and despite the above and would never call for him to be taken off for stinking the place out.

Stop messing with my already fucked up memory, you bastards

Controversial opinion for discussion purposes.

Edwards' best game for Wolves was when he played right-back under Mick.
