Tell the mod that raised it, and instantly sullied the process.

I certainly wouldn't be using the report function after that public exposure
The context was the function was used to have a pop at certain people whilst reporting a post. No the actual poster who had offended but the people that will be looking at the issue. No different really to sending a DM to do that and that wouldnt be tolerated either.

that is my understanding of the Mod posting that to help add more to the banning reason.

What are you telling me for?

I don't think it should ever have been raised; it's not something that has any relevance to this IMO.
Misusing the report function was extremely relevant to the discussion as people were having trouble understanding the reasons for the ban. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it, but then on the flipside you also had people fist thumping for more transparency.

And, as I repeat, falsely claimed that everyone was on board with the decision, which isn't even close to true.
And, as I repeat, for the third time now, that was a mistake I owned up to immediately and edited the post once I realised.

Oh and "isn't even close to true" is an exaggeration which is extremely unhelpful. All the mods are 100% on board with the decision. I didn't vote for a permanent ban, but am supportive of the decision made, which is the same stance taken by every other mod on the issue.

Unless you are only trying to attack me personally by insinuating that I deliberately lied? Which I don't appreciate one bit.

Mark is lucky to be here after the pasta debacle tbh

I cant really add clarity to the above because we essentially make this shit up as we go along (the not overly serious bit)

I don't think Mark has a record of causing issues that has led to multiple bans, warnings, quiet words in his ear etc so if he doubled down on his cooking and we had to deal with it, then no something from 11 years ago wouldn't be looked at really.

I just tried to go back and research this incident but there are no posts from that far back to know any more than I threatened another member. 😳 I remember getting banned once then it was overturned but not sure if this was the same incident or not? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Whoa boys!!!
I think this whole topic is getting out of hand now.
It's a forum not the crown court, so lets just leave all the mods to make a final decision, before we all end at each others throats and damage a forum i personally like being a part of.

It's not really an easy mistake to make, is it? And you didn't "realise", it was pointed out to you that it wasn't true.

If I were to say "I think Max Kilman is wank and everyone on TWF agrees with me", I mean I know that isn't true.

As for this:

Oh and "isn't even close to true" is an exaggeration which is extremely unhelpful. All the mods are 100% on board with the decision. I didn't vote for a permanent ban, but am supportive of the decision made, which is the same stance taken by every other mod on the issue.

These aren't the same thing.

Whether you appreciate it or not isn't my problem, you put yourself up as a mod, do it properly or not at all.

Tbf I do think there is a difference between a “snitch” and “boy who cried wolf”, and an important one at that.

It is a couple of years since I last posted here. Johnny was the primary (but not only) reason I left. Since then I have from time to time looked in for three reasons:
1 Are we linked with anyone?
2 Tory govt corruption and/or incompetence.
3 Has Johnny been permanently banned yet?

We are all supposed to be on the same side. Yes, Johnny could make knowledgeable comments but so could almost every other poster, usually without insulting fellow Wolves fans along the way.

The Tories are out, Johnny has followed, and fosun don't enjoy opening the checkbook, so that's my three reasons all gone. But I am back.

Nobody is naive enough to believe that aggression and toxicity will now disappear from the forum (this thread is more than proof enough of that) but even being slightly nicer might slowly tempt one or two old members to give it another go.

Memo to self - avoid verdict threads.

I think while as Tony put it "victory laps" are being performed, the place may well get a lot more toxic, personally

Ah, you're the guy who was berating and lecturing everyone for being negative about the club just after Lage was sacked?

I think you'll find everyone is much more positive about the club now mate. Welcome back

If the 'victim' wasn't so clearly taking a victory lap around the forum, then perhaps there'd be less blaming?

I've been asked to justify why I feel the way I do.

I've done that and been told that I'm lying and/or too sensitive.

Johnny was banned and within the hour you fired several posts aimed at every other member (including myself) who had wound you up, looking for a response and maybe a second ban. Transparent.

Have a look at literally the second post on this thread. Positively revelling in it.

That's just the first example. Absolutely nothing to do with what may or may not have happened when you met in tbe pub.

Isn't the point being missed here somewhat?

He said it'd be entertaining for another member to have their head stoved in.

If people are fine with that, then great bring him back. Lovely.

What's revelling here?

If you're referring to me saying "lovely" that is in reference to if people are fine with the stoving comment.

Just shows, if you're looking for something to be negative you'll find it!!
