Jeremy Corbyn

During the labour leadership campaign Mr Corbyn said that if elected he would apologise for the Iraq war, and there was no need to wait for the Chilcott report. He now appears to have changed his mind.

Linky please.

What, a bit like cameron with the tax credits cuts?

I believe he apologised in his conference speech by the way.

Which shows that all leaders, irrespective of the party do change their minds. I actually think Corbyn is correct to delay the apology.

Not sure if LJ is correct on the apology being done in the speech at the Conference, I know it was rumoured he was going to, apologies to LJ if he did though. At this point in time, Corbyn would be mad to do anything to take the heat of the Tories by talking about the Iraq War and Labours errors. He has DC by the balls over Tax Credits, so need to get every ounce out of it.

And with respect, plunging millions of working people into penury is a more pressing concern than apologising for a decision made 12 years ago.

Did the Sun mention he snubbed a VIP meal after so he could stay and applaud those in a Parade and then speak to them without having a million and one paps trying to find him do something "wrong"?

He won't last til the end of next year. I quite like him, but he's clearly not leader material. He makes Andy burnham look intelligent.

As each pointless attack on him happens I actually respect him more.

Just wish the media would stop with the pointless personal stuff and lies and concentrate on his policies. If he is as bad as they make out then tell me why rather than wheel out the bollocks currently being used.

To be fair Burnham has an English degree from Fitzwilliam College Cambridge and Corbyn has 2 E's at A-level

Due to being messed around by the grammar school he was at, something which has sadly happened to many people in that generation and after.

Oh absolutely that may be the case. I personally am not saying he isn't a powerful intellect, just indicating that if you wanted to make the argument Andy Burnham is brighter than Jeremy Corbyn, then the education records would look like they back you up.
