Jeremy Corbyn

Given the absolute state of the two main parties and the nonsense that is FPTP in the modern world, we need an entirely new system - new parties, some form of PR, fresh ideas. Parliament has to become massively more diverse and clearly the Lords is an anachronism (albeit an anachronism that we've been grateful for in recent years as they have stopped the very worst excesses of this awful Tory decade).

Will not happen though.

Look at me right now - I will never, ever, ever, ever vote Tory, and I'm on the verge of abandoning Labour forever too. Whatever I choose doesn't matter because of where I live - my vote has absolutely zero impact. Now I would like to think of myself as at least reasonably politically engaged, and yet I'm locked out on both fronts. How can that make sense?

This is me too, always voted when I could, was a lifelong socialist up untill about 10 years ago, now there is not one major party I will support

It's daft isn't it? MP's all over the house are simply unfit for the purpose of being an MP. Our problem is what do we do about it?

Maybe constituencies could hold primaries, rather than the party picking the candidate. There are cost issues, but let the candidates cover them.

You lot can take the piss but about 3 years ago I was banging on about the need for a new party in British politics. I don't get much right but I am claiming that a treat! Its a helluva mess

Probably the number 1 reason I won't vote Labour at the next GE

By all accounts, students who "flocked" to labour and Corbyn are now deserting in droves. Kinda goes to show that you need to have some substance in order to manage to engage with younger voters.

Is it not suspicious that in the early days under Corbyn the party was falling over itself to offer running commentary on how many people were signing up to Jezzas Magic Grandpa Extravaganza! but now they just say 'We dont comment on numbers'?

Seems to me Labour could put this to bed in a heartbeat....

That's pretty good, especially as May comes across as a sourfaced craggy crone listening to it.

led by donkeys have put up a twitter poster in corbyns constituency. It's blank, as they're concerned at corbyns apparent silence/reluctance to comment on brexit, or commit to either a peoples vote or similar.#
whilst they were putting the poster up, local youth labour activists started enhancing the poster, stating their wish is for a peoples vote.

He's been clear on what kind of deal he wants but May has rejected it. GE or second vote remain options but the crucial element in all this is the willingness of Tory rebels to actually rebel.

should it be about what he wants? or should he be representing the views of the party?

Or y'know what might be best for the country.

So far, today chairman of Tesco says we will be back to eating spam with no deal and Ford chairman strongly hints he will move all production out of the UK.
