Jeremy Corbyn

Vince is quietly spoken and immensely knowledgeable. That isn't his natural environment.

Cable said what you'd expect him to say, Farage the same there wasn't anything particularly extraordinary

And missed every opportunity to outline what his plan was other than referendum 2.

Real missed opportunity.
It was his chance to highlight the lib Dems stance re pr, the folly of binary voting, the need for part 2 people's vote Yadda Yadda Yadda.

Lib Dems policy is full pr he said fuck all
Why would he? It's a piece on Brexit on a lightweight programme. Kate Garraway presents on Smooth FM and Ben Shephard does Goals on Sunday, it's hardly Newsnight

All that matters. ALL that matters at the moment is his policy on a second referendum.

PR is a total irrelevance with all this going on.

Cyber: But Cheese is yellow

We have the worst government in my lifetime opposed by the weakest opposition in history and the leader of the liberals takes no opportunity to dig the ribs of either.

The moon is round, cheese is yellow and shit is soft

Cable looked crap.

He is a hugely respected statesman. Hard to judge him on the televisual equivalent of talksport.

Stupid woman

So the vote may happen on Friday. And if she loses (thats a big if), she's got two weeks to win one. So the earliest shed be obliged to call an election is the end of the month.

But the FTPA doesnt say when the election should be called - so May could argue that having Brexit in the middle of a GE campaign would be bad, as parliament wouldnt be sitting and we effecively have no government. So she could well argue that we should have the election after Brexit. Which would be ridiculous.

Which is why I dont think a confidence vote will work. And even if it did, whats the point of an election where you choose between Tory Brexit and Labour Brexit?
