Jeremy Corbyn

He attended a parade in Somerset to mark Armed Forces Day as well as visting Glastonbury according to something on Twitter yesterday.

This is what Corbyn said on his facebook page:
"Today is Armed Forces Day, a time where we can reflect on the courage, professionalism and sacrifices of those who serve our country.

We thank our armed forces for the work they do in defending our country and the sacrifice that involves, including spending many months away from their families and loved ones.

The contribution our armed forces make is not only military. They save the lives of those in desperate situations. It was military personnel that built treatment centers and trained health workers in Sierra Leone after the Ebola outbreak.

It was military personnel, like the valiant crew of HMS Enterprise, who rescued 9,000 refugees and migrants in operations in the Mediterranean.

On days like today and when I see the sacrifice our armed forces make, I think of my friend George Durack and his experiences in the Second World War.

I think of his courage and determination to continue despite seeing friends die and knowing family at home were in constant danger.

That same courage and bravery is displayed by our armed personnel today. Despite this, they are not given the support they deserve after their service. All too often they find it difficult to secure housing, are not helped to find employment and do not have access to the mental health support that they truly deserve.

Today and every day, we have a responsibility to stand up for our Forces Community and make sure that they have the real support they need, and thank them for the sacrifices they make for our country."

Now stop that doesn't suit Frank's agenda #strongandstable

Preaching about austerity to a bunch of kids who just paid £300 to listen to music...

:icon_lol: I saw someone else say that earlier. I suppose next time he speaks about austerity he had better check there is no one who has spent decent money on anything first.

To be fair to Theresa, at least she doesn't talk about 'tough decisions' for the economy when she's married to a billionaire. Oh wait..

All this shit about only allowing certainly parts of society to have a voice is really distasteful. Everyone has a right to vote and put their point across, young people and decrepit corrupt billionaires alike.

Whereas Corbyn being a millionaire does qualify him as a 'man of the people' ?

Sun/Mail/Express probably.

Owns a house in London so I guess that makes him a millionaire? Doesn't matter that he probably bought it 30 years ago for £10

Firstly, I highly doubt he is a millionaire. Secondly, if he was you wouldn't know it would you? The guy can actually show compassion and isn't looking to shit on the little people like May is?

His house is pretty ordinary but the one next door was on the market at £925K. If Corbyn is a millionaire, I would think only on paper if factoring in the value of his maisonette

There's a myth that the more money you have the more uncharitable and capable of shitting on people you are. It's all pretty distasteful.

Nile Rodgers must be worth a few quidyet he went and donated his time for free and on the flip side there are a multitude of grade A arseholes that would see their neighbours rot because they're just hateful human beings.

Good point that Jonny, for every Murdoch there's a Gates out there. You don't have to be complete tosser if you're rich.

Sadly scum like Murdoch and Green have money as they are just deplorable human beings. If Corbyn is a millionaire then good for him, he's the type of man that probably does a lot with it to help his community (I don't know this I'm just guessing).

I really don't know. Tub thumping jingoism?

No need for that Phil. I know you consider me a racist, but my point was that while the Prime Minister supported our armed forces, Mr Corbyn decided it was better to pour a pint at a pop festival. Absolutely nothing to do with Jingoism.
