Jeremy Corbyn

Bloody foreigner, coming over here wanting to know what love is..

Andrew Harrop of the Fabian Society has warned that the Labour Party was on course to win fewer than 200 seats for the first time since 1935 in the 2020 General election. It currently has 231.

Based on current opinion polls, the total could fall as low as 140 because Labour traditionally has historically done worse than its mid-term polling suggests.

The Corbynite Left led by Momentum may have bullied their way to win the internal battles in the Labour Party, but according to Mr Harrop it seems to have no roadmap for winning back lost Labour voters.

You don't learn, do you.

Frank. I told you to post a link. Much as is think it wildly unlikely that action would be taken I have told you the elegant solution. Please use it.

You don't learn, do you.

Of course he does, if something winds somebody up, he does it more. E.g. 'Grow Up' to TSB. As you know, it's called wumming.

Frank doesn't see it as wumming though, but won't explain what it is if it's not wumming either.

I thought it was wise advice given by a kind gentleman.

Labour losing the backing of the BBC? I'm warming to Corbyn. He must be doing something right.

Tristram Hunt resigns to become director of the V&A Museum. This is not a nice trend, if people commit to becoming an MP then they should see out the term as a minimum, it isn't like another job where a better offer comes along and you take it. It wasn't ok when the hideous Louise Mensch did it and it isn't ok when it's Labour MPs doing it.

By-election in Stoke-on-Trent Central which *should* be a formality of a Labour hold.

What if the Labour Party he now represents is unrecognizable from that whose manifesto he was elected upon and doesn't feel he can honestly represent that Party in Parliament?

His primary responsibility is his constituents, surely?

And if that were his motivation then he could resign and stand as an Independent...

You are probably correct, but I do have some respect for someone leaving the PLP because it doesn't represent their views any longer than sitting on the back benches and moaning about it. The people of SOT now have an opportunity to vote for a presumably broadly Corbyn supporting candidate and the values and ethos that the Party now represents.

Isn't his constituency one that will be "lost" after the boundary changes? If so, maybe he thinks that Corbyn will not want him contesting another seat, so he has taken this opportunity to get out.

Pity its the wrong Hunt leaving Parliament, the Tory on the front bench should be fucked off. Save the NHS.

Here's a question for you then, has there ever been a era when the NHS has been given resources to meet demand ?

It is and it is sad that Tristram will lose his seat as he's one of th ebetter MP's in my opinion. The other 3 morons that are MP's here (Smeeth, Flello and Farrelly) are just about capable of tying their shoelaces.
