In an attempt to cheer a few people up, Jarvis Cocker held a Disco in his front room last night, broadcast live on Instagram. The tunes were banging, from old school Ska to classic 80's to banging house to rock he was dropping choon after choon after choon. With wires and gaffa tape all over the place, there were a few technical hitches, but that just made it all the more endearing. I can no longer remember the last time I had a good night out and I can't remember the last time I smiled so much. I'm grinning from ear to ear now remembering it. He's going to be doing some more once he's had someone in to help sort out the tech problems, so if you get the chance to pop in, I can highly recommend it. It's done me, and everyone that was there the world of good and provided a real antidote to the isolation blues. Really does feel like having left the house and had a shared experience.
