January Transfer Window, 25/26 Season

The first part of that is easy. Not so sure we can do the 2nd bit though
I wouldn’t rate it 10/10 if it was easy! That said there must be a decent benchwarmer somewhere who’d like the option of playing every week, albeit in the Championship.

I honestly reckon we can get one of the kids to play in goal and they wouldn’t be any worse than Johnstone and Sa.

I can’t think of worse PL keepers than either of them.

How Sam Johnstone played for England is a bigger mystery than how Fabio Silva played for Portugal.

Hwang is probably a pretty good keeper, will Hwang a few in no doubt

In fairness, we got him for €10m and he’s barely played, so why the fuck do we now think he’s worth double that?

If he’s not in RE’s plans and we can get our money (and maybe a bit on top back) you might as well do it. Especially if he isn’t a player likely to stay as/when we go down (this is speculation on my part here).

Because we can't/won't replace him until the summer. So priced him to stop clubs buying him now.

Will probably accept €10m in the summer

Might not be an offer for him in the summer, though.

Wolfe will want to be playing in the second half of this season with a World Cup coming up.

1) Risk we are wiling to take. We sell as he is our 2nd choice and Hugo gets crocked in Feb we are bitching we sold him and didn't replace him. We have a great record of signing utter shit in last minute deals or missing out because we realised to late we needed a player.
2) No doubt on that but in reality its tough shit for the lad really

It doesn’t matter now, we’re down.

Cut our losses now and get rid of all the shit.

If players won’t be here next season, get rid of them now if clubs want to waste their money on them.

Unfortunately, we need a massive rebuild now and it’s got to start in this window.

I’m inclined to agree with this. If someone’s willing to give us our money back for a player that’s seemingly not in the managers plans now or in the future, you might as well take it.

If our recruitment team are really inept enough to not be able to sign a replacement & Hugo B gets crocked, I guess we muddle through or stick someone like Ethan Sunderland in there. As you say, we’re down anyway.

We have Rodrigo who has played on the left as well.

Also if we put Tchatchoua on the left he might not dribble the ball straight out of play. Not sure what the plan would be for when he gets into a position to cross though.

Hopefully stop running...

Doc can play there too, and could be a good option there next season in an inverted wing-back/captain role
