I’m expecting January to be grim but not this grim. We’re down, no point in spending much - better to let Edwards’ replacement have the money in the summer. In the meantime go mad and get a director of football in who knows his arse from his elbow and come up with a coherent strategy to have a balanced squad, something Jackson completely ignored last summer.

Jackson is just a yes man. Sucking up to Shi, keeping his nose clean, and attrition, has elevated him to where he is now. Is he any good? Doubt it. But what happened in the summer was down to the Shi, VP, Teti triangle of incompetence. Not convinced Jackson would even have been consulted on the signings they were so bad, far less the balance of the squad. If he did have any real influence then he should've been swept away with the others.

Do agree that we should've been scouring the leagues to find a director of football with a track record of success. But no, this is Wolves, so it's just next man up.
