He goes towards the white smoke. Agreement could be defined in the day

Sky say us and Brighton have been linked with Cunha from Leipzig. Could play across our front three so like Hwang would make sense. Only 20.

They also say West Ham have agreed a deal in principle for Fernandes

Just saw that about Cunha, I’ve never heard of him and it’s probably made up but once again I reserve the right to be angry when it doesn’t happen.

Don't know anything about Cunha either but wouldn't surprise me as I'm convinced whoever we sign is going to be someone who can play in the middle or wide, otherwise they'll be spending 90% of their time on the bench.

So there simply MUST be someone lined up to replace him...

You would hope so.....
We were light with him so without him we are really light.
I know a lot of people have written Ashley-Seal off, but I will never write someone of at such a young age.

We need an experienced back up. I dont mind seeing BAS with some substitute appearances but I dont want.to.see.him startmin the Premier League yet.

Well we are in exactly the same situation. I guess the only difference is now someone else will sit on the bench for 90 mins whilst Raul is ran ito the ground...

We need someone who can come in and give Raul some rest time.

Getting that in a Jan window is a challenge unless you throw £m's at it & even then not a guaranteed success route.

More likely to be a younger player with potential or an older player who has been there & done it (latter less likely as we don't tend to go down that route often though the Moutinho option shouldn't be closed off given what he has done for us)

By resting mean can.comenin and start the odd game

Someone simply MUST be coming in or we wouldn’t have re-opened negotiations with Fiorentina. Good luck Patrick, hope you do well there.

We've danced this "someone MUST be coming in!" dance many times before.

I daresay we're pursuing every avenue, but we've seen multiple times over the past few years that having a replacement lined up is not a requirement for selling a player.

On a slight tangent, with Cav having departed will we be getting a new TWF banner? :)

Agreed, this doesn't necessarily mean we have anything done at all. Everyone said the same when the Costa and Cav deals went through and it turned out not to be the case.
