January 2020 transfer window

He didn’t underwhelm me when he scored and the crowd shared in his delight. You could know how that felt but you fell out of love with Wolves some years ago.

Calm down superfan :icon_lol: I can quite imagine how it felt, thanks. Believe it or not there were people not actually there that still have the gall to be happy when we score.

But it doesn't alter the fact that he's been, well, a bit shit.

Funny how it's only ever footballers who have made incredibly underwhelming impressions that have to leave because they're homesick.

Let's face it, he's going not because he misses home, he's going because he's not worked out on the pitch

It's a chicken and egg situation.

Unless you've lived and worked abroad you can't really call it until you do it.

He hasn't been shit. You'd know that if you'd not fallen out of love with Wolves and watched a few games...

Know the geezer do you?

Don't be wilfully pig ignorant, you're better than that.

It's fucking hard living abroad even when you do speak the language, I can't stress this enough. I moved when I was 20, Patrick is about the same. All you've ever known is home. It's harsh, man. It's a massive culture shock.

Now I got to go to pubs, clubs, cafes, whatever, do what I want outside of work. And I was already a fluent German speaker. Because who gives a fuck how fit a teacher is. Signor Cutrone can't go down the boozer can he. He's probably stuck in his Tettenhall flat watching TV he doesn't understand.

I'm not going to blame the guy one iota if he wants to go back. It's tough.

People overlook the human side sometimes, "oh he earns £50k a week, how can he find it hard". It doesn't work like that.

Totally agree Dan.

I am 56, for me it's tough at times, and I live, work , and play with people that speak English.
When I have to interact with Authorities, police, doctor etc its tough.

My wife is finding it harder than me, the difference between us is I am trying hard to learn.and Speak Spanish, why wife is stereotypical of the British Ex Pat Community on the Costa Del Sol refuses to learn Spanish.

I can only imagine for a 20 year old with no family and friends, bit speaking much of the Language it must be hard.

Cue the for £25 K a week I would not give a fuck comments, the money learnt makes fuck.all difference to how you feel.

In Southern Spain it would be easier to settle the weather is so good you can get out and do stuff, play Golf, go for coffee, walks, go Carts Etc.
In the UK its fucking cold, you can do nothing outside this time of the year...
It will be similar to his home temperature wise, but back in Italy he has friends and family to go for meals with, to see, he just does not have that at home.

I for one understand his desire to go back to Italy, he may well try again when he is older with a family it will be easier.

It's almost like the two things might be linked somehow?

Which other players have left Wolves citing being homesick? I can only think of Jelle Van Damme, i'm sure there are others that it didn't work out for because they were homesick, but it wasn't necessarily used as a reason/excuse.

Cedric Roussel maybe?

The Cutrone move's apparently hit the buffers, and he's now back in Compton.

Hopefully it doesn't stop us getting another forward, he's bound to be off either this window or next

Or us failing to get one in.

I don’t want to even contemplate us having another shit window.

Christ I hate the transfer window.

Jan is not the window to make real moves - really just plugging gaps (either from injury or other issues) as the value isn't there.

If Cutrone is off then need some cover up front & could do with another midfielder seeing as how we are having to use some in defense at the moment & can't believe that Moutinho is still going (he clearly has Duracell batteries installed)

Newcastle and Ajax being linked with Ryan Babel. Think I said it in the summer but wouldn't mind him here on a short-term deal - going to be hard to get a quality striker in during this window. He did surprisingly well at Fulham, can play on the left-wing and would give us an option if we ever wanted to go back to 3-5-2.

Would do a job. Put it another way, if it’s 1-1 in EL final after 70 minutes I’d rather see him coming on than Benny Ashley Seal!

Rosie of the E&S says on Twitter that Cutrone won't feature against Newcastle as we don't want to risk him getting injured.
Latest rumour on Twitter seems to be Karlan Grant from the Terriers

I like him. Haven’t seen him this year but he looked decent last year.

Young, decent pedigree for his age, shouldn’t be too expensive and won’t kick up a fuss if doesn’t start every week
