January 2020 transfer window

Leicester fan here.

Just wanting to know what Bennett's attitude is like really.
Unfortunately for him, he's not going to be in a position to get any game time for us without significant injuries, as he's being signed to be 4th choice behind Morgan.
The reason we're in for him is because Benkovic, our current 3rd choice who we've got massive hopes for, needs regular game time before the start of next season.
All being well, should Evans/Soyuncu not suffer injuries and Benkovic get through his loan without issue, I suspect the £5 million future fee in the summer will not be triggered and we will look to put that towards another younger CB for that 4th spot instead.

Fab attitude. Didn't feature much when he first arrived but after getting his first start never really looked back. Been a couple of fuck ups along the way (Watford away) but some tremendous bits as well like Chelsea at home last season. Keeps it simple and isn't as eye catching as Coady with the passing but he does what he does well.

and will put a player in the stand if he can't get the ball...

Watford away was Dendoncker's fuck up?

Good attitude & fairly uncompromising - as said he will take someone out if he has to & doesn't really care who it is reputation wise.

Not the ball carrying C/H we need now though that improved with Nuno's coaching during his time here. Good solid pro who will add to the squad.

Well my Sanderson theory wrecked. Looks like he is off to Cardiff on loan

I think this window is shaping up pretty well now. Matheson + Campana + Enzo. That's some serious young talent we've signed, and you can clearly see the strategy. Only need one of those three to become a first team player for it to pay off massively

Would guess Sanderson has more chance of getting a game at right back than centre half looking at Cardiff's squad, competitive games will still be useful for him though if he can get in the team.

Looks like Albion are signing that awful clogger Peltier so a straight replacement there I reckon. Would rather he played CH though as he's no serious option for us at RWB, fine defensively but offers nothing going forward.

Exactly. With Boly, Jota and MGW back the squad already looks much healthier and the addition of Podence gives us some mad options, to think one week ago we were 'paper thin' to someone saying the other day 'I hope Nuno can keep them all happy'. Oh what a difference a week makes but that first team squad now looks fucking banging. On the back of that I've been chuffed to bits with the younger signings, they're obviously not just tat and we're planning for our future which is bloody good to see. I wouldn't be surprised to see Loiodice playing some part before the season's out.

Buzzing for the rest of the season now.

Buzzing for future seasons too, we'll have some top talent coming through

I don’t think RB is too much different to RCB for us in a team like Cardiff.

Get him used to defending in the channels and some use of the ball in the channel. Whereas CB for them would be heading and hoofing

I feel it's been a pretty decent window personally. Plenty of business done and more options from the bench, especially with the injured players returning.

With Boly back it frees up Donk to come off the bench and give us an extra attacking body centrally. He's the only one of our midfielders who makes those runs into the box to try and score. I wish MGW was that sort of player but I think his future lies in a deeper Joao-esque role, which means we can sub/rest Moutinho if we need to.

Also, Neto and Podence can now come on for either or both of Jota/Traore which gives us a way to win games if things aren't working.

That along with Vinagre and Kilman/Burr gives us plenty of decent options off the bench. I think it's the first time in a long while we've had a good option on the bench for every position on the pitch (Doc aside, but we switch Jonny in that instance).

Clearly the main weak positions are RWB and CM. Both Doc and MGW are very upgradeable. Hopefully we upgrade those areas in the summer.

We’ve just signed Doc’s upgrade for 2022.
