January 2020 transfer window

Indeed - I was lukewarm on his initial signing but he's been superb for us. So many good, solid performances for us and gets to play for a team who may well be in the Champions League next season rather than sit in the stands at Molineux and we make £5m from a player who has given us 3 decent years' service who we brought in on a free transfer.

My feelings exactly - very best of luck to him

I fear some serious boo-hooing should this be the end of our business.

As long as one of them isn't Nuno, then the boo-hooers can fuck off.

just seen an interview with Nuno. He is happy, he is relaxed so job done for him.

Who are these people who will be boo-hooing? If its you say it out, don't hide behind some mythical other person

do you live with tin foil on your head? Have you not been on social media , any wolves site , the mol mix and to some extent , here or have you just hacked Tredmans account? I have seen about 3 posts that say its a good window and about 300 that are far less complimentary.

And , dont call me out as "hiding." My views on this thread have been crystal clear. WE NEED TO STRENGTHEN THE DEPTH OF OUR SQUAD AND ENSURE THAT OUR BENCH CONTAINS ENOUGH QUALITY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE WHEN SUBSTITUTIONS ARE MADE. AT PRESENT IT DOES NOT AND BAS IS NOT AND NEVER WILL BE THE PREMIER LEAGUE LEVEL BACK UP FOR RAUL.

There a gentle summary of pretty much my whole contribution to the thread. Off to place more bamboo under my nails and pull some teeth.

Time will tell. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. But if he is happy then he appears to have back tracked on the ambitions . The squad is smaller than before the window isnt it?

I dont usually read twitter (wish it would put up a barrier if you dont "do it" like facebook does)
anyway, its fucking rancid, full of unappreciative cunts who seemingly want the club to just buy everyone and anyone.

I agree there needs to be a filter as some are clearly out of touch with reality but I would also say that any one who rates this and the summer as "successful windows" is equally deluded.

Why does everything have to be black and white? I don't think anyone has said they're delighted with the window, or even that it's been successful. But that doesn't mean its been a disaster, or that fans who are acting more like customers should be given the time of day either.

Perhaps its just me but, i hate it when a club is teaming with players.
We have players who can cover various positions and a truly exceptional backroom team that has kept a small group
of players in good health for nearly 3 seasons.
Too many cooks spoil the broth is what im trying to say.

I can understand to a degree some people's frustrations at losing a first team player, which appears to be somewhat contradictory to Nuno's repeated aims of 'needing new players'.

However, I suspect he's been out of the first team frame in Nuno's mind for a while now, ala Cutrone.

In fairness our bench vs Southampton was Jordao, MGW, Ruddy, Giles, Kilman, BAS, Burr;

Vs Liverpool it was Ruddy, Boly, MGW, Jota, Giles, Kilman, BAS

Tomorrow it could be Ruddy, Donk, MGW, Jota, Giles, Kilman, Podense and could even include Campana if Nuno is happy with his progress so a massive improvement there for me

So long Ryan and thanks for the memories. Good move for both sides on paper. I like Bennnet, but he doesnt fit in with Nuno's maximum flexibilty approach.

Depends on how you deem a window successful doesn't it. Are we all like Sky and say its on Number of players added or money spent?

For me, is the club moving in the right direction after a window. We are currently closer to the top 6 than last season and in the last 32 of a Euro Comp. Now that comes off the back of a window that saw little action (lot of money mind) and 2 players than didn't work out. We also managed to deal with a big injury to a key player and handle the loss of a key forward thanks to the form of 1 of the signings from last summer. We will find out in May if we have progressed any further as a club. The other key thing is how Nuno likes to work. He wants that core 18 with the U23's backing up, so we can bitch and moan about numbers not added but if the bossman is happy then all good for me. I do think the return of Boly and Jota changed his outlook for this window.

Luke Matheson having a medical now before we pay £1m, and loan him straight back.
He's 17 yrs old and highly rated. (ref Youngwolf)

Pedant alert - thank you for being one of the few people in the world who uses this saying correctly!

I wonder if Boly might get moved over to the right when he comes back (with Dendoncker/Sanderson as backup), and Saiss staying on the left (with Kilman as backup). Might be remembering this wrong, but I think Boly didn't usually play on the left of defense until he came here, right?
