The comforting thing is that Fosun are so ruthless, and subscribe to the basic capitalist rule that “you’ll never look back and think you sacked someone too soon, but might regret the reverse”, that we’ll never sleepwa…

Oh.

They’re worse at their job than Bruno. It was stark staring obvious that we were out of control at the end of season lap of shame.

I find it difficult to believe some of the comments attributed to Bruno in today's Express and Star 'interview'.

How he can think that joking in a media outlet about a Wolves player breaking another player's leg is acceptable is beyond comprehension. (That the Express & Star consider it acceptable to publish is also unworthy of them)

And his remarks about a player thinking twice about heading a ball are completely and utterly uncalled for and insensitive to the point of being insulting, given events in our recent history.

As a fan of 58 years I don't want this incompetent representing our club any more. I've never wanted rid of any manager in the last 58 years as much as I do this one.

"But for sure, if you play one-on-one against him he will break your leg if he needs to, to win the game. This is the kind of profile he has.

"He needs to be there because the Premier League is so hard to play in. Of course, breaking the leg is a joke, but what can we see in every game?

Its just gibberish.

He needs to stop talking. With every passing day his nonsense get worse.

"It's so hard to be a player and a manager, sometimes I'm here and show a face that I'm not showing in training or at a game"

Meh - TBH I don't really pay attention to the things he says in interviews, I think there's enough to get wound up about on the pitch without letting yourself get pissed off with Lage-isms in the media.

If you don't like him anyway, you're only going to get more annoyed by reading it.

The leg breaking stuff is just people looking to be offended.

The dig at Raul wasn't needed and insensitive.

Lots of things to dig Lage out on, his football being the main thing though.

Saunders is easily the biggest prick we've ever had at the club. It's not even close.

I wanted Hoddle gone more than I do Lage now.

Totally agree. I don't have the same ill feeling towards Lage as I did for Hoddle or Saunders - not even close.

I want him gone because think he's out of his depth, sure - but I don't have any particular dislike for the guy.

I agree with someone on Twitter that said he feels absolutely nothing towards him - that apathy is in itself pretty damning of his tenure.

The problem is, how many players feel the same way?
Doesn't the idiot realise that players read newspapers/SM remarks

Do players feel the same way about Lage as most posters here ?

Personally I think that as long as players are being picked every week , have the contract that they want in terms of pay and conditions and their club remains in the Premier League , then they are not all that bothered as others believe .
They know that Managers come and go , that owners are desperate to remain in the Premier League and will do what is necessary to do so . Players are selfish enough too - if player A gets dropped and player B was friendly with him , is he going to kick up a fuss and risk his own future ?
You will see the displeasure towards a Manager in the cut and thrust of a match - they might not be trying as hard as they might have done for a previous Manager .
Look at Costa - left Brazil to come here . He couldn't care less about Lage I would think . He got the contract that others would not give him , and that's where it starts and finishes .
There are definitely players who have raw ambition and want to win trophies , as many as possible - but they are a smaller % than people think .

Well Boly, Coady and Saiss all thought he was a cock, Jonny almost certainly does too and if Raul didn't before you can be damn sure he does now.

Costa didn't leave Brazil to come here, he was living in Spain without a club

Chuck in MGW and RAN as well, and Ruddy didn’t seem enthusiastic either, there’s nearly a team

He has the Saunders trait of the first 10% of a comment at least making some theoretical sense (whether you agree with it or not) and then he just babbles on and talks gibberish. He's absolutely terrible for it in post-match interviews, if we lose then it's complete nonsense with a dash of chucking the players under the bus. He's nothing like as much of a terrible person though, and unlike Saunders isn't working in his first language.

Boly and Coady were no longer playing , Saiss was told he was leaving and Raul now has competition for his place .

I'm referring to players who are playing every week .

I'd say you can add Adama to your list - not getting very many minutes these days . Connor Ronan as well .

If you're starting every week and you're earning a nice fat salary , you won't be rocking any boat .

Anyway - even with the best Managers in the world - you can still only pick 11 players . You will never keep all players happy .

It was last season, they were all playing

Salaries won't have anything to do with it.

I tend not to listen to what managers say, most are well rehearsed in not 'damaging' the brand and talk without saying anything, whilst the few who aren't, like Bruno, just generally talk gibberish codshite which makes less sense than back in the day when I used to have conversations with people at 3.00am in Mezzanine

Nuno was very respectful and I felt came across quite well in interviews but he was perhaps short on words and a little to reserved for the media at large (no pun intended)

If you believe the local media like Spiers and Mike Taylor Nuno could be a right so and so when the camera / tape wasn't rolling

I don't think our Bruno gets players very far up that pyramid.

Yeah I can see that tbf, I always got the impression that he didn't like the circus the media try to whip up. He was focused on his game and that what was important to him not the BS that goes with it.
