Why haven't they then?
I'm not sure, but my guess would be that they feel he has shown in the last 3 seasons what he can do with them so they are giving him time to sort it out. My point above, that Lage doesn't have to fall back on

Have seen this mentioned before but not from a conclusive source, is it reliable?
Someone credible said it a couple of weeks ago in passing, might have been Percy. Someone posted it on here, but good luck finding it by searching Bruno sacked 😃

They are desperate for him to resign, he is desperate to be sacked, just a game of cat and mouse. He clearly wants it more than even Bruce did from Newcastle, doing everything on and off the pitch to make his job untenable

Maybe the reason Leicester haven't binned off Rodgers is he has a record there to fall back on, Lage doesn't
Maybe the reason they haven't binned Rogers is that they'd have to pay him around 10 million?
Ah... Just seen Jabba's post!

We don't need to give him time with the new players if he's categorically shown us that he's not up to managing at this level - which has been the case for most of the 14-odd months he's been here.

My daughter once tried to help me make spag bol. I left her in charge of the mince - she burned it and ruined the whole dish.

I'm not going to give her a prime cut of fillet steak and see if she can somehow create something that wouldn't look out of place on Masterchef.

This is complete speculation on my part but Bruno almost feels like he was appointed as a stop gap.

Sacked Nuno but weren’t ready to spend the money on the squad needed to attract the next level of manager so just went for whoever we could get that would do a job i.e. Lage.

Now we have actually invested in the squad and Lage is completely out of his depth they are either waiting for our no.1 target to be available (e.g. Lopetegui) or are just waiting for the right ‘optics’ to now sack Lage without getting a backlash for it.

The idea that Bruno Lage needs time to work with his new players is not really relevant when you consider that there are only 2 of them starting every week ( Nunes and Collins ) .
The new man in at Bournemouth ( caretaker ) , didn't have much time after the 9 - 0 thrashing , but he has managed 2 draws and a win . I'm also pretty certain that at the Forest match ( where they overcame a two goal deficit ) , he switched at half time from a back 4 to a back 5 as he wanted wing backs to scamper up and down the pitch , and it worked .

These are Professional Managers paid big money to deal with players who are available to play some weeks , but not every week . It's a fluid situation , so stop complaining about it .

Yes , it looks that way . He was available and was definitely cheaper than many others . FOSUN were at that time not pumping money into the club and the managerial appointment at that time reflected that .

Are you just shouting into the ether?

Dropping hints now that Costa will be at best on the bench for a short cameo against West Ham, possibly not even that. So that'll be another game where we can lose, not score, not even look like scoring and it won't be fair to judge him apparently.

Tbf I think just about everyone on here is now in roughly the same place in terms of the judgement of Lage, just a few contrary types on social media

Quite a few "experts" (i.e. pundits) have defended him and actually said we played well v City. Did we? I think we're likely to have patches of a game, even against top opposition, where we knock the ball around nicely. Because we have some very good technically gifted footballers in our team. But there's absolutely no avoiding the extended run of poor results. The lack of any kind of goalscoring threat. The lack of goals. The lack of in-game tactical tweaks or substitutions from the manager. When was the last time he genuinely made a change mid-game either tactically or in personnel that altered things in our favour? After he's had chance to get us organised at half time, when did we last come out and score a second half goal?

But just getting back to the pundit bit, whilst he's not being universally panned, I think he's safe. And not even all quarters of our fanbase are at the "Bruno out" stage yet.

Everything I hear about Lage is that he's a great coach. I don't think he has any business being in charge of a Premier League football club that has ambitions of challenging the European places. We're not sitting just above the relegation zone because we're unlucky. Yes, we've been unlucky with the forwards; but this is a sustained period of time where he has been unable to get a tune from the squad. Even last season when he "didn't have his own players", he still had enough quality in that squad to not drop off a cliff for the final 10 games. The metrics also tell us that the early season form was not sustainable, and the eye test confirmed this.

I'm dumbfounded that there are still Wolves fans on social media saying he needs time. Time for what? Is he suddenly going to work out how to change a game when it's not going our way? Is he suddenly going to work out a way of having us score 2+ goals a game?

I don't see it. Jeff Shi got some credit back from me in the summer window with the signings. But the evidence is there, even for a "non-footballing man" to have seen enough with Bruno Lage in charge. You've spent money on signings to improve the squad. Now put someone in charge of them that knows what he's doing. It very much seems at the moment the "plan" is to wait until Diego Costa is fit and then cross everything that he can score a few goals. It's nonsense, really. He's got to go.

After he's had chance to get us organised at half time, when did we last come out and score a second half goal?
We've scored ONE second half goal at Molineux in six months. Ait-Nouri against already relegated Norwich, when we could easily have been 4-0 down.

It's a laughable statistic. Not that we need stats to prove anything. Everyone can see we're in trouble with this joker in charge.

I genuinely wanted him to succeed when he first came in, but the writing has been on the wall for a long time now.

A guy on the Mix reckons AVB was at the Saints game as a guest of Guo.

Didn't see him and Guo and his group were behind me, could have been hidden in the box.

Actually... thinking about the same box had the blinds closed throughout on Saturday.

You'd have thought that someone would have taken a picture if he was there, but as you said, he could have been in the box.
