What are we actually waiting for.

He could win on Saturday but even Zenga and Saunders won games. Zenga went and won away at champions Newcastle!

There’s zero evidence we’re going to just click and become a good team. We aren’t aiming for 14th, we’re aiming top half, so that’s a massive fucking turn around.

We’ve been shit for god knows how long. The writing has been on the wall and we aren’t getting better. A win Saturday will just kick the can down the road and waste more of the season.

He’s done absolutely nothing to deserve time. Put us out of our misery
Exactly.

Win on Saturday, then we almost certainly will lose the next two.

Which leaves you P8 W1 D3 L3. Bloody awful. Fancy more than 1 point out of West Ham and Chelsea (both away) next?

And I don't even think we'll win on Saturday, why would we. We have no gameplan, never look like scoring and haven't won for five months. Southampton have issues but they also have an actual coach.

I don't think they'd know what to do. The Mendes well is dry, so where would they go and who would lead the search?
Zenga - Mendes
Lambert - Thelwell
Nuno - Mendes
Bruno- Mendes

as a founding member of the gang of four i have to say enough is enough. i thought i saw some encouraging signs against tottenham , particularly in the first half. but we are regressing individually and as a team. there is no pace or penetration to our play. although we have switched to a back four it seems to have made no difference to our style of play. its soporific and very predictable. i also feel the players arent fit enough. in fosuns position i wouldnt wait too long before tapping bruno and his backroom team on the shoulder and saying i think we have reached the end of the road.

When you have your brother as one of your coaching team it's never a good sign - are you really going to give him a telling off if things don't go well ?

When the fans turn against you at a match then you're a dead Manager walking . It was building at the end of last season and now it has gone to a much higher level . Expect a far greater reaction if we fail to score again at the weekend .

433 up front is way too blunt .

Think we were interested in Silva from Fulham before at one point .

It'll happen soon - the removal of Lage that is .

I had to go back to work at 9pm, and I was happy to do so and leave the match behind.

That's not a good sign. I don't like saying that someone should be sacked, but I can't see how this can continue, especially as Fosun have now spent a lot of money this summer on some really good players (and Hwang) for less than no improvement.

He is clearly massively out of his depth (in a Connor/Saunders way). Every day that passes gives him more time to knock a players confidence or fall out with a new signing.

I imagine Nunes and Guedes are already regretting agreeing to come here.

It’s essential he goes today to give Mouts time to prepare for Saturday.

In the interests of balance, a healthy process, I’ve listened to the Bruno defenders on one of the podcasts. It’s an interesting insight into the mindset of people who wanted Nuno gone and for whatever reason thought Bruno would be great. He still needs more time in this view, even if that means next to no points until mid-October. The laughter that follows every reference to the lunatics who want Bruno out is a little hollower, but the Brexit like belief remains: I said it was a great idea so I’ll now blame anything and anyone else for the disaster put in front of me. It’s so destructive, mainly for the relationship between players and fans, and Fosun should act now. Of course, they should have acted at the end of last season and that they didn’t gives me no confidence they’ll do so now. After Sat perhaps, when we’ve needlessly wasted another few days.

Christ can you imagine a team setup by Moutinho? The who seemingly must be trying to write the book '1001 ways to fuck up a set piece' all from first hand experience, I don't think I need to see that sort of tactical process spread across the entire game.

The whole thing is just broken at the moment, the manager seems to have no thought beyond picking a formation and the players appear to have no independent thought beyond kicking it sort of to someone in the same colour shirt. It's embarrassing.

The difference is that give this manager another bunch of players and he’ll still be shit. Give the players another manger and they’ll be good. Unlike Bruno, you can keep it that simple and then act on the message.

I have no idea whether Moutinho could manage a football team or not but I do love a 90s style player-manager vibe.

Can`t see that the board are looking at Lage`s position the way we are being linked with more signings and potential sales. Unless it is the board that are making these decisions and Lage has no say. Looking at the run of games coming up, I think will buy him some time.

I agree with you, but it's just wasting time though. Let's say we get 4 points from the next 5 games, which the way we are playing is ambitious, that puts us on 7 after 10 and he likely gets the sack, so why waste the 5 games? A new manager is unlikely to get any more points, but does give him 6 weeks or so to work with the players on the training ground, whereas I guarantee you on Saturday Lage will bring Sasa in and go long and we'll just be a different type of predictable

All too depressing. I feel we`re in limbo.

I've not said anything about giving Bruno more players or more time. I do however disagree that another manager automatically makes these players good.

I don't think the issue with Bruno is that he isn't keeping it simple, I doesn't appear that he's told them to stand roughly in a 433 so I don't see how he could've kept it any simpler. The problem I see is that the players need more guidance and he isn't the man to provide it.

Last night really was not a fun watch. We are not entertaining. We are predictable, laborious, slow, dull and devoid of any kind of entertainment whatsoever.

It took us until the last 15-20 to work out that we were badly struggling to create anything, so we threw on some wide players and a bit of pace.

If that was a one-off occurrence, I'd put it down to a bad day at the office. But this is the crap we have had to endure for months now. And I don't see an end to it. And it's on the head coach. I'm sick of it - watching Wolves is a chore, that makes me wish I'd have done something else with my time.

I've been guilty in the past of comparing where we are now to where we were in 2013. Yes, we've suffered some shite over the past few decades. However, that line up last night was - on paper - one of the most exciting, expensive and potentially the best XI I've ever seen a Wolves team put out. Yet we barely laid a glove on a frankly shit opponent. Because we are - frankly - a shit team too. And there's absolutely no way we should be. In the past, we've been in a shit situation because we had shit players - the players we have now are nowhere NEAR as bad as the performances suggest. It's not good enough.

At the start of the season, I was very very worried about the direction the club was heading in - as well as a shite end to last season, Fosun didn't seem interested in investing in the team. For whatever reason, they seem to have changed their tune and have splashed out considerable funds to bring in what are - IMO - excellent signings that we've been crying out for. In Collins, Guedes, Nunes and Kalajdzic we have 4 starters in key positions which is what we've been badly needing for years.

So I don't think Fosun are going to accept such lacklustre tripe on the pitch for much longer. Lage needs to be shown the door before Saturday before the season starts to become a struggle. I'd like Fosun to shown the same levels of ambition and bring in a quality manager who is able to get something out of the quality squad we are building. He's not got a clue how to get the best out of these players, he's not got a clue how to dictate games, he's not got a clue to counteract other teams, he's not got a clue how to set us up to attack with any sort of killer instinct.

His time is up.

It's stupidity. I thought it was probably time for Nuno and I was excited by the potential of attacking vibrant football that I thought Lage would bring. He hasn't and worse is that he's had 18 months and 100m+ of talent and we look a worse side than we did for his first game.

Someone needs to create a 'Has Bruno Lage been sacked' website.

And now it's time for 'Alan's Fact of the Day'.

Bruno Lage's Wolves have scored 7 goals in their last 12 league games. Another one of those, same time tomorrow. For now it's time simply to say 'kommen Sie bitte, und listen to Kraftwerk'.
