Boly and Jonny don't come well out of his quotes this morning given they are the only new players added to the side

Every time they've come from a bad game and bad performance they have come with everything to the next game to do their best.
Not true is it because we were bad against Newcastle, equally as bad against Burnley and worse against Brighton.

It's just more throwing the players under the bus. How about your shit tactics and our awful record whenever we go behind?

No, the players don't have that character to relax. Every time they fight hard and are a very good group."
I'd have had them in over the weekend to rewatch the Brighton match on repeat. Instead half of the squad were round at Neves's competing in a limbo dancing competition.

Spiers saying no 'bust up'

"It's a pretty tight bunch

Has there been disagreements? Yes

Has there been bust-ups? No

Is there mutiny? No

What's different? You can question Bruno

Nuno couldn't be questioned

It would potentially negatively impact your career"

@TimSpiers on @wolvespoddy 250

If I were say, someone with 144 international caps and someone with no playing career, a youth coaching CV and Benfica's worst ever run on his record was garbling nonsense at me, I might question it too. Probably less so with Nuno who was an actual manager.

That's not to say Moutinho is the one questioning him (just using him as an example), but there's a massive disconnect here and you can see why chickens are coming home to roost. He doesn't have the experience or gravitas you need to manage a club in our current position.

Also Spiers can fuck off with trying to trash Nuno. This is the stupid cunt who would rather have kept Lambert.

So that’s Boly, Jonny, RAN & Ki. An impressive list of players being written up, rather than actually taking any of the blame for his shit tactics himself.

Wonder who it’ll be next week.

Podence too this week. Can’t be arsed to play if our illustrious leader is to be believed.

I misjudged the Hoever comments in hindsight, gave Lage far too much benefit of the doubt that the comments were harmless and the wider context of how they were said were valid (which they kind of were at the time), however it now points to a much wider problem that he won't squarely take any blame himself. I don't like people generally who always need to blame someone else.

Blaming someone’s attitude for getting injured was always a massive red flag.

first he blamed the young players, now he’s blaming the senior players. Who’s next?

Yeah, I also defended him at the time. Not so sure now it’s turned in to a worrying theme.

"We came to a position in the middle of January and February and we were competing with 10 or 11 players, now I have the whole squad with me and they have to understand that we arrived at 40 points without some of the players," he added.

"They need to understand better what I want, the way I want to play and they need to understand that I want everyone fit and ready in every moment for me to choose the best XI."

Again, after 34 games if he hasn't managed to get his message across he can't be a very good fucking manager.

If you can't get your basic points over in eight months you shouldn't be getting a continued chance to make those points.

Bin. Summer. Make it so.

Could Boris Johnson get points across to you in 8 months?

As i said the other day i think Lage has been nothing other than dreadful in the last 3 games along with some of the players. There’s still quite a lot with him i’m not sure about and that I don’t agree with but i think the criticism of him is way over the top. We’ve been nowhere near as bad over the season as is being made out. Also it’s not written in stone that after 8 months everything should be perfect.

The worst run in Benfica’s history keeps being mentioned but also conveniently forgets that was over 10 games and that he won the league in his first season with a ridiculous set of results. Benfica haven’t won the league since but I forgot it was all Joao Felix.

I do think next season could go either way, we could improve or we could completely implode especially after the last 3 performances but I don’t think it’s nailed on as some think.

It gets more ludicrous by the day, all he ever seems to come out with is bollocks about the players needing to play how he wants them to play and they’ll be fine.
Trouble is the more he says it the worse we get.
