Iran

Apparently now the Iranian president has put a statement out saying he's open to ending the war but not many outlets are running with it as unconfirmed. Been some downward movement on oil in the last few minutes though so could be promising

Iran reacting to Trump walking away pretending he’s won when the whole world knows he’s made a monumental fuck up of it. What are the odds on a Cuban distraction before the end of April?
 
Did you see the FT report stating that Hesgeth’s stockbroker was trying to place huge purchases in defence stocks prior to the operation commencing.
 
Just a thought. If the BIG VICTORY is re-opening a sea lane that was open without risk six weeks ago, what happens to that victory when the first ship using it gets attacked from the drone systems all still lined up on the Iranian shore? Does Trump stick his fingers in his ears and shout "fake news" at that while waiting for the applause from his ex-allies that now will never come?

Now, this won't happen, but what if the UK, Canada, the EU, China, India, SE Asia, Japan and Australia all negotiated a safe passage deal with Iran? And it was then only US and Israeli ships getting bombed out of the strait by drones. Is the strait open then? It is for everyone else in that case. And the "new regime" in Tehran would be significantly empowered by such deals in both monetary sense and in the ability to claim a quite significant diplomatic victory through what they would only see as defending themselves from Hegseth playing COD.

And if the strait is really his "goal" what on earth has that to do with Israel bombing Lebanon and trying to annex vast swathes of it?

A real cat among the pigeons would be ignoring the rules a bit and admitting Lebanon and Gaza to NATO. Article 5 would then require the Donald to bomb Israel.
 
And as predicted, Trump addresses his nation, talks a load of fucking bollocks and the oil price instantly rises 4%.
 
All Iran has to do is hold out and then continue in a similar vein as to what it was in at the beginning of the year, to claim victory.
Israel and the America need a complete regime change that returns Iran to its pre 1979 status. That’s only happening with a long protracted ground war.
It was idiotic to think they’d achieve anything with just aerial bombing.
All the world knows this is monumental shooting from the hip war.
