Jackett has overcome all the problems he has faced since he took over, got us out of a bad run last season and identified key areas that needed improvement. He did the same this season after the five losses so hopefully he can halt the current slide of poor performances (even if results wise it's been ok).

Thats key will Ken continue to stumble or find better combinations which enable better chance creation and better results.
That proof will unfold before our very eyes.

I believe that we are seeing the real limitations of this squad now. We don't seem to be able to create chances without leaving ourselves wide open at the back.

KJ has reponded to this by trying not to concede and pinch the odd goal here and there. Not too bad a plan away from home.....but painful to watch at Molineux.

Already had a few weeks to be working on something with very little to show for it though, performances have been poor since Blackpool and there doesn't seem to be much progress.

This season's recovery had more to do with injuries/recoveries than any Jackett brainwave I think.

I'd never rather that, we had that with saunders. I heard paul Lambert saying that villa had created lots of chances on their scoreless run the other day and wondered how frustrating that must be to hear as a fan

Where is this coming from? Ken has fixed every problem and halted every downturn in forum since hes been here. Hes shown a willingness to experiment and there isnt a single player who can consider himself undroppable. Even Sako had to ride the bench for a while last season.

Weve only been playing poorly for 4 games, give the man a chance!

Yes, absolutely.

He just grated on some of us more because he was such a prick. Purely on results he'd have gone though because he had a very, very, very easy job and failed abysmally.

I find it an advantage that I find Paul Lambert incomprehensible.

With football as it is now with instant media spotlight there is no hiding place for supposedly professional football managers. Most of them get found out early in their tenure as rank imposter's to the profession.
Lambert should be well pleased his chairman isn't Doug Ellis, he would have been out on his ear a long time ago.

So we sack a manager - six months into a supposed long-term project - because we fear the spectre of relegation, the replacement comes in and does WORSE and still relegates us, and we wouldn't have sacked him if his IQ were a few points higher?

I don't think so. It was all on results as far as the board were concerned, if it bothered them that much that he came across as a fool every single day in the media they'd have stopped him talking to them. If he'd somehow have kept us up by one point he probably would have stayed. In the long run it's a good thing he didn't.

They really are a bogey side, Wolves haven't beaten Huddersfield Town in the past 11 meetings since Feb 97, only won once in the last 16 and only 3 in the last 21.

I have a vague recollection of Jackie Gallagher playing and scoring when we beat them at home in 1988/89 but couldn't be sure.

I'm sure I was at that game and the crowd started chanting we want 10 after Man City had put double figures past them the previous season. I don't recall Jackie Gallagher playing though. Didn't he leave after we were promoted from the 4th division?
