General Wolves News

Anything they're asking people to print at home isn't going to work sadly.
Also these ones about "do X on Minute Y" never work.

If we're attacking (stop laughing) in the 18th minute then it's dead straight away.

If we're 2-0 down to Keith Andrews' Brentford after 77 minutes when it's getting dark and cold then there won't be 15,000 in the ground.

They usually manage it if it's applause in a specific minute. I'll give you that the ground will probably be empty by 77.

I found the late walk in a bit annoying and I still don't like that they haven't distanced themselves from the Taiwan nonsense but I don't see any harm in holding up a bit of paper. I'll probably do it if I remember to print one off.

They're probably trying to tap into the Nigerian market as would you believe it, Mexican fans don't give a shit about Wolves now Raul doesn't play for us. The idiots in charge of our club were selling them as lifelong fans 4-5 years ago and just as important as people who live in Wednesfield or Castlecroft, just absolutely off the wall thinking. They seemed to properly believe it too, the height of delusion.
So, are you telling me I’m not going to get a return on the bulk load of Lucha Libre wrestling masks I purchased now Raul and his mate Sin Cara haven’t been seen at Molineux for a few years?

I’m pleased they’re working hard to continue doing something. It takes 10 decent minutes at Arsenal for a whole bunch of our fans to be happy with a nosedive to mediocrity and then complain about fans complaining, so I’m all in favour of doing something.

Think a ‘print out’ speaks to a rather particular demographic though! Still, one more idea than I’ve had.

Also, they’ve simply got to distance Taiwanese nonsense and the blokey blokes leading that. One was on a podcast last week, and he’s got a lot of fair complaint. But it doesn’t help that he’s an old school yob who thinks it’s a great tactic to be on Taiwanese radio and ideally would be falling through a roof in Scarborough next weekend if he could.

Couldn't believe what I listened to on that podcast. That guy has as much hubris as Jeff Shi. Fuck those flags off

Which podcast was that?

I listened to Talking Wolves the other day and was surprised to hear a couple of the lads on there talk about how Johnstone, Jackson, Munetsi and Hwang will be excellent in the Championship.

I think they are in for a shock.

I think Johnstone would be okay in a decent team, in the way that Ruddy was for us.

Jackson & Munetsi will be exactly what they are now at any level. You could be playing down the park with them and Jackson would still be dribbling straight out of play and Marshall would still be running up and down, barely affecting play and falling over every time the ball went near him.

Hwang might at least get a few more chances in the Championship and the one thing he does have is a calm head in the box but he's never been able to stay 100% fit ever. How is he going to be able to get through a 46+ game season?

I'm absolute fucking dreading next season, and I'm just a Firestick Fan. I dread to think how some of you poor fuckers are feeling about it. We're going to be left with some irredeemably bad footballers, an atmosphere of pure dejection, a manager who I believe is incapable of anything approaching entertaining football, Jeff Shi telling everybody that this is fine, all while paying more than most Premier League clubs for the pleasure.

Said hello to the Leader in the Civic toilets yesterday, I should have asked him about his opinion of Shi!

Those claims have now seemingly frustrated the council, with the Wolverhampton Council leader speaking out.

Councillor Stephen Simkins said (via Express and Star), “We were disappointed by Mr Shi’s comments regarding a lack of support from the council for the football club’s plans.

“We have a long and proud history of supporting our football club – indeed, our crucial intervention in 1986 saved the club from collapse.”

He also said they have worked alongside the club on various projects to refurbish Molineux, but none have come to fruition.

These include plans for an ‘ambitious Molineux Quarter Masterplan’, as well as bringing in ‘significant investment to a space outside the stadium’.

Additionally, he responded to Jeff Shi’s claims about hosting music events at Molineux by saying the council ‘part-funded a review’ on how the stadium could be used for big music concerts, and that experts provided recommendations which the council hoped would be listened to.

“Unfortunately, the club did not move forward with any of these plans, but we are ready and waiting to progress them when they are.”

Finally, the councillor did reveal they do plan to help the club out in the future, and they will continue to maintain “a constructive and positive relationship with the club.”

"At least we'll win a game..."

Think it might have been 1877? know, I know… I turned it off eventually. In fairness they’re normally quite balanced, so not sure how that character got on there.
Don't apologise.

I like listening to any and all Wolves content (except for Dazzling Dave) getting a broad view is interesting/frustrating/entertaining.

I like the Whole Lotta Wolves one most. They have some ice cold takes on players ability, but it’s well produced and they seem like thoughtful, polite guys even if some of their opinions are a bit odd
