General Wolves News

So we have a bare bones squad, similar to Nuno days, just a much smaller wage budget too.

I don't think the numbers are too bad. Having senior players not even making the bench (as happened last season under Lopetegui after we added heavily in January) isn't a good state of affairs. Most areas of the squad have at least adequate cover in terms of pure headcount, of course the likes of Doherty and Bentley aren't suitable options but that's another argument. Up front is the obvious exception.

I'd see no benefit in having say, another central midfielder so we had 5 competing for 2 spots.

Think it was a couple of months back - I struggled with some of his posts too, but just putting it out there.
He was well liked on the Mix, it seems. They set up a crowdfunding page for him in memoriaum. Made me feel a bit guilty when I saw that last month. Taking the piss online is a bit too easy sometimes.

No but someone in the mould of Saïss who can cover multiple positions would be handy.

Central midfield is the one area we are stocked well in, no one is saying otherwise. Putting aside quality argument for the likes of Doch, I think we're 3 bodies away from a decent sized squad before you could say it was bloated or whatever:
A CB to cover seeing as they're keeping with 3ATB (bonus points if they're good in a 2CB defense).
Another forward, doesn't have to be a world beater, somewhere between the Paraguyan kid and Sarabia's level would be fine.
The striker that we didn't get in transfer window.

I don't think that's unreasonable to want or far-fetched for a team like us. It's not asking for Forest levels of transfers in.

Agree with you both there but it's not quite the bare bones that some paint it as.

The 2018 version of Saiss would be ace to have.

I think Gaz only sees Bellegarde as an option in the front three with our current shape so that covers one of the areas.

I think Mosquera will be the CB which I don't have a problem with.

If PSG really are looking to offload Ramos on loan next season (as is the rumour) and by some miracle we make Europe then that would be some coup.

For the wide player we could do a lot worse than Fofana from Chelsea, currently on loan at Burnley.

That would be £0 outlay for the 2 loans for Jeff to jizz his pants over to go with his £100m in player sales (Neto, Guedes, Podence, Sasa, Silva + youth)

I think we need a CF, as fraser is just too young, but between Noha, Enzo, chieryewa (sp) and the return of chiquino, we will have that wide cover by next season, with what we have, even if we lose Neto.
Midfield is reasonably covered for the way we play
The addition of Mosquera to Santi, and the current big 3 at the back should be enough, but we need right back cover for Nelson, as Doc won't last past this season if he lasts that long.
I don't think we are that far off really.

We need to find a way of replacing the g&a Neto contributes. It's unlikely we'll buy some as good as Neto to replace him so we'll have to add g&a from other parts of the team. RWB feels like a potential avenue

Fraser is young but I don't by into "too young." How else is the guy supposed to develop unless he plays in the team in the Prem? We send far too many out on loan who never make it. Unless we see him as just another income stream via loan fees and eventually a transfer fee, then I'd say, play him when the opportunity presents itself. We'll then see if he can do it. Personally, I'd like to see it. We played Flavio after all.
