69 points behind them in the all time Premiership table though, and 36 behind Stoke who are the team directly ahead of us.
I know it was discussed elsewhere but I do like the distinction of Premier League stats as "modern era". As at least other than the one year the Prem table accounts for the 20 team league and mostly consistent rules changes. As opposed to the 1 sub, back pass, 2pts for a win etc.

It's said you can forecast the final table fairly accurately at the start of the season by listing clubs' wage bills. Doesn't look too far out, does it? It does feel as though we should be higher up it, though. Almost as though us and Palace should be reversed. Perhaps it's because of our small squad size that we're paying less.
