General Wolves News

Just imagine how angry all these people would be if we put fans in a stand that wasn't safe, and something happened to said fans, it'd be all " why didn't the club check it was safe?" Damned if they do, damned if they dont

Could have literally been the collapse of our huge Mexican fanbase, we wouldn't want to risk that.

Not really argument though. More when was the issue discovered (1st statement v Vinny's comms with a fans podcast) and when the work to repair started.

3 pages of this crap, to sit in a stand I wouldn't take my worst enemy into.

It's going to be a long season isn't it...
Some fans HAVE to sit in that stand, else they don't see their team in the flesh. 🤷‍♂️

I have sat in that stand in some awful conditions. Bournemouth when we won 2-0 was a particular stand out!

Honestly, it'd have to be a European tie or title decider to get me in there. I bet Vinny never thought he'd have to be having this debate over it.

It does say something about ticket demand still being rocket high though that people want to sit there (tbf, Nuno first home game is a sight I'd want to see if it didn't involve our national rail services costing twice as much as the game itself from London)

Whoever mentioned dont watch Gemma Firth nodding get in the sea.... Its pissing me off in Rauls interview.
I was right though

Like most people I can't say that I enjoy sitting in the Temp stand but it does offer the benefit, through its nature of being undesirable, to allow me to see games I'm struggling to get priority to. It is usually reasonably easy to also get the 3 seats next to each other that I need.

With the scramble that tickets are going to be from now on I would imagine that I would have been using it a bit more than I hoped to.

What we do know is that the last time that stand was used was March 2020, it's now August 2021 and it can't be used in "Cat A" games against Spurs and United.

Making apologies for the club in that situation is beyond me particularly when they are so eager to push costs on to the fans, but are too inept to make sure as many as those fans can attend as possible.
You seem so knowledgable on it being a club fuck up.

Can you tell me what the issue is?
When it was noticed?
Could it have been noticed earlier?
What the issue is?
Whats required to fix it?
How long it will take to fix it?
Who is fixing it?

Just so I can make my mind up its a club fuck up

I have done hundreds of PIR's in my work life, that tells me 1/10 of the information i would need to highlight changes in procedure (A PIR is never a blame finding excercise).

I would imagine that Jeff will be holding a PIR as it is costing Wolves money not having the stand available. PIR's sometimes find there is nothing that could have been dome to prevent the incident.

In this case, it could be a case of
Identified early
Quotes received early
Job awarded early
Lead time for delivery of parts x weeks
Length of time to perform the remedial work y weeks
Means the season opener was missed.

Of course
There could also be the case that something happened, delivery not recieved in time, Staffing Issues with Covid
To long to get quotes

Who knows, but for you to shout club fuck up with zero knowledge shows your prejudices (i dont mean on a racial perspective ETC, just your pre judged prejudices) against the club and current management.
