General Wolves News

Ah yes! So we are 1 goal for and 1 against (not including Wood's penalty). Steady

Does that xGD mean we’re -2 on what we are meant to be. As in scored two less or conceded two more than we should have stats wise.

Yeah I think so. We've either missed some chances we should/could have scored more from or we've conceded some that wouldn't always go in I guess?

Another area where Newcastle and Liverpool have had luck this season! Whereas Everton have been unfortunate.

Wonder how many teams have set piece coaches now. I know Liverpool do, and they showed the one at Brentford when they played Stoke the other day (he was not looking best pleased)

Tbh we are reasonably creative with ours and have scored a few excellent goals because of it (Neves vs Villa and Raul vs Bournemouth away spring to mind)

But then on the other hand when it doesn't work it does look a bit daft sometimes. Too many short corners, Nuno out.

Liverpool have a throw in coach

Was it during the Burnley game that they were saying all our routines are coached by Moutinho & Nuno? Def one TV game where they said the 2 of them come up with the ideas for every set play and work on them together on the training pitch

I would have Neto on frees and corners on the right hand side if he's on the pitch. The ball for Donck vs Everton was beautiful.

Yeah that was a real peach, such a gem Neto has turned out to be, just keeps on getting better as he's not only a solid player but looks like he can take over dead ball duties.

That was the first free kick/corner for ages where I thought, "We're going to score here..."

Hopefully this is the case and I am proved wrong. I just cant see him playing here for another 5 or 6 years. Admittedly, this is just a hunch and I've nothing to base my opinion on, but I get the sense that Raul will want to try his hand in another league before he retires.

I'd bet he would like to finish his career in Mexico, rather than in Europe.

Stay here for 5 years and then go to Mexico is fine by me

Looking at his Instagram the last couple of days with all the arya and wolf stuff, don't think he's going anywhere for a while, just wonder if he's been out and about and someone's said " oroight, raul, ow am ya bin keeping and how's the babby?" And whether he understood them or just nodded politely

Talking of Instagram. Rui took in the delights of Stafford this week. His wife's photos made it look like a quaint town in the Cotswolds.

Kind of Wolves related, but plans by the council confirmed for a new foot bridge over the ring road to the ground as an alternative to the subway

From the plans it looks to sit pretty much across the top of the Subway but runs on a slight angle to the left (if you imagine coming from town to the ground).

Personally I think one would have been better placed somewhere towards the bottom of North Street directly over so that it leads straight down the walk way to the left of the southbank (again if looking from town) but sure it will ease some congestion....when we're all finally back.

I think it will also hopefully stop the idiots jumping the fences and taking on the ring road traffic to avoid the scrum at the entrance to the subway. Definitely a good idea.

So to the left towards BW? Quite like the idea, but would miss my tikka wrap.

No idea what a toucan crossing is btw.
