General Wolves News

- Sponsor is too high

- The collar is $#@!

Would be the reaction...
Nah...it's the shit Adidas logo on there, get the originals one on and it's a winner.

I hadn't realised how many of our upcoming fixtures were on TV. Fortunately, I'm attending the Norwich and Burton home matches - which are the only ones NOT televised. Our next 7 fixtures are:

Norwich (h) - not on telly
Fulham (a) - TELLY
Reading (h) - TELLY
Leeds (a) - TELLY
Villa (a) - TELLY

Burton (h) - not on telly
Middlesbrough (a) - TELLY

It'd be nice to pass the 92 point mark by the end of this run of fixtures, wouldn't it...?

You then have to ask which of the remaining fixtures will end up on Sky as well?

Yeah March is Wolves month basically, almost every game is on tv

They'll stop showing us when the title is in the bag. Which could be after their current selection finishes. As of that point, nothing will be riding on a Wolves game.

Nothing for us, but the others apart from Sheffield W. and probably S'land are likely to need the points.

New contract for keeper Harry Burgoyne keeping him at Wolves until 2020 #wwfc

Ensuring we get some pocket change in the future?

We like a good pointless contract extension.

Doubt he'd get a game in L2 to be honest, he isn't very good.

Bonkers, we are are way too overstocked with players who will never make it at wolves. Suppose it will be another player for Telford.

Sporting Director, Kevin Thelwell, has been delighted with Burgoyne’s progress over recent seasons and is looking forward to seeing him grow as a player.

He said: "Harry has been with us for a long time and continues to make excellent progress.

"Last season in particular he demonstrated how good he can be and despite limited opportunities this season his potential remains high.

“We hope that this new contract demonstrates our confidence in him and gives him the time and space to develop into a first team starting goalkeeper at Wolves.”

Burgoyne will never get anywhere near our first team. Yet another strange contract extension for a player that isn't good enough.

Only takes a freak run of injuries for it to happen though. I doubt anyone would have expected him to get near the bench last season, yet he played and was our No1 for a while.

It is a strange extension but I wonder if Ruddy's lack of progress and poor form this season has made us keep him on the books. We will be in the Checkatrade Trophy again next season so I guess we want a slightly experienced keeper in that. It was his performances in that cup that pushed him ahead of Flatt.

Stop talking sense when I want to hate on Thelwell!

I guess it makes some sort of sense to give our 3rd choice GK a new contract, especially as Ruddy Jr seems to be quite shit. I'd rather we just signed somebody better though TBH.

Keepers will have a greater longevity (barring a serious injury) than outfield players - can't remember what age he is, but may well be he considers that he has time to do another couple of years here before he goes out into proper football (which for him will not be here)

I imagine the market for 3rd choice keepers is a niche one....

Alright smartypants :D

I guess I meant we could look at signing a youngster who is an improvement on the likes of Flatt, Burgoyne & Ruddy Jr.

Didn't we sign some young, foreign GK recently?
