General Wolves News

I wouldn't say so.

What if you leave it, he has a really good year then he has 1 year left?

We're not in the Joe Hodge realm here.

That's a big vote of confidence, not something I'd have done until mid next season tbh. Still more projection than anything we've seen and he's 23 coming off his second major injury.

Most clubs try and get players they see having a future being tied down to longer than 2years left.

Must be confident in his recovery. Liked the look of him, albeit a relatively small sample size

I bet it's £40k per week or more. He'd be silly to sign anything less
I’d guess 30-40k. Still fuck all though relatively speaking. He will recover fine anyway, and the club clearly have a better idea of his ability than we might do so not so much projection from their standpoint.

2026 according to the Athletic article.

Good news anyway. He was very good for Villarreal and did alright for us in the short period.

Decent week or so on the new contracts tbf.

Even on the Cunha one, it does secure our position, well strengthen it IMHO. Could argue whether 62.5m is a fair valuation, but I don’t think it’s that wide of the mark.
