General Wolves News

Respect comes in all forms and ways and isn’t an all you can eat Buffett where you pick and the choose the bits you like.
Example in this situation is people think it’s fair game in a football ground as it’s just “banter” and it’s not officially directed at an individual.
Biggest thing to ask is would it be reasonable to say or sing the same thing at work or to someone face if the answer is no then don’t do it at the football then hide behind the banter mantra.
Secondly how do you know that someone in the ground isn’t offended by it or feels intimidated by it?

It would help if the stewards could be arsed.
For what they’re paid I wouldn’t be arsed much either, wading into large crowds to eject a couple of folk can be very high risk.

Good point, as was shown in that infamous game at Wembley.

Wolves are a feature on the Price of Football podcast tomorrow.

We got praise for them for nabbing that Government loan this week so maybe about that.

I was at Hillsborough about 2 weeks ago to meet the Esports officer for SWFC, to talk about a partnership project with my school, and they mentioned Wolves in passing as to how they have grown the Esports side successful.

Looks like Wolves have started go refund fans that booked trips to Korea, fair play

Fair play? It's the bare minimum to return the money!
Not when travel/hotels were paid for independently. Wolves didn't run any travel for this did they and no tickets for the games were put on sale by the hosts
Zero obligation to refund anything on what was people having a holiday built around a couple of football games.
So I would say any money they do give to the fans is very much fair play.

I think it’s way over what is required. The cancellation of the game is beyond club control. The fans have booked flights and hotels for a trip to Korea. They can still have that. The game is effectively an add on.

It’s actually very generous to have helped out financially to those who have spent money on a Korea trip.

Oh right. I thought they'd just refunded match fees or a travel package. The poster didn't actually specify what they'd refunded.

Yeah I think it is way over and above what is required by the club.

To be honest, if I had booked to go to Korea - I'd just see it as a chance to go anyway and see a new place. I totally get why the Wolves tour might be the catalyst to book a trip, but I hardly think the trip becomes worthless because some meaningless friendlies are no longer being played.
