General Wolves News

It's the gig economy, man. Got us all used to being "on call", even if we ain't.

What Staveley earns from Newcastle will be utterly dwarfed by her returns from the investment fund she runs anyway.

Doesn't Director's Pay mean all Directors, whereas we only have 1 so it's not a like for like comparison?

The article this from seems to pop the salary of the main person at the club in the Directors pay. So just the 1 person.

Utd's on that is Ed Woodward (?). His replacement is on similar. Spurs is Levy etc etc

Every premier league club is a limited company. Last PLC was Manchester United until the Glazers bought it out. For a limited company you have to declare a figure for overall pay to the directors and the salary of the highest paid director. For a PLC you have to declare salary, bonus, pension pot payments, share options, other long term share incentives and benefits such as car and assistance with buying a house and moving for every member of the board.

I hear that Julen threw a bit of a special party yesterday afternoon because he's a very happy bunny at the moment. The result last weekend has really given the good folk at the club a big, big lift.

Each time there’s a clean sheet. It’s a meal on him. Good to see it involved not just the first team, but staff from all the departments at Molineux.

Exactly. The key thing for me is bringing in the staff from all the departments.

I'm hoping Cunha/Raul can strike up a bit of a partnership between now and the end of the season and the pair of them can start scoring more regularly.
Think we've already started to see this in the last few games they've played together, hopefully it turns into goals soon.

Cunha definitely should have scored vs Spurs, Raul was denied by a good save and a surprisingly tight offside (in real time I barely celebrated as I thought he must be off, but on the replay Perisic only just gets out in time).

Create the chances and they'll score.

It was the other way round for me. Normally pessimistic about such things, and having a reasonable view, I really thought he was on, not least as it just looked like the sort of episode that catches the defender out. Don't know why I'm typing this as, well, evidently I was wrong!

This contribution is now going to look even more misguided as it will sound like I'm defending the indefensible but... the stat is really focused on 'since a centre-forward / number 9 scored'. In Podence, Sarabia, Traore, Guedes (!) etc forwards have been scoring. Yeah, that's right, I'm saying it's been raining goals, haven't you all noticed?!

Still betting on a Cunha - Hwang dream team.

Not so sure that summary is going to prove right for Cunha, his finishing looks appalling so far, hits the ball as badly as Cutrone.
