General Wolves News

Great news, i guess he goes out on loan if we sign a RB and stays if we don't.

I think we shouldn't sign a RB and let DL come in and when he needs to. He passes the eye test and the coaching staff seem to think he's good enough too. No point signing someone else when we have what we need at home.

We don't have what we need at home. We need someone to come in and play in the first 11. Lembikisa looks good from what we have seen but we don't know if he is capable of playing week in week out at this level. Semedo makes too many horrific mistakes and Jonny is finished. We definitely need to sign a right back.

I think Semedo and Lembikisa are fine for where we are right now.

The summer is when we can put the full rebuild in.

He looks decent for sure, don’t think his use of the ball is good enough at the moment whereas someone like Bueno looks right at home in that department. Think a loan would benefit more than being a bit part player at best, unused sub at worst.

Lembikisa might turn out to be brilliant and a viable option in the short/medium future but i'd rather us do something in the window than take the risk of it not working whilst in the midst of a relegation battle.

It's only been about 2 weeks since that right channel looked an absolute mess.

One game (and not a full game at that) is not data. He had a good hour, no more. He hasn't shown he can fill in long term.

Loan him out for very regular 1st team football. review in the summer how he has benefitted from that.
Lopetegui has held loaning him out because he isn't confident in semedo or jonny.

And Bolla too.

You'd think we'd recall one of them if they were up to it
Isn't Bolla a work permit thing? ( I know it was in the 1st year, not sure about the 2nd but some were saying he needed that extra year to get sufficient points)

Not sure but you'd think that could be worked out if necessary.

I thought Dexter looked great on Saturday and if Semedo is the first choice with him as back up, I'm alright with that. Especially as Jonny looked more like his old self against Liverpool, too.

Like others have said, it's "only one game", but it's mad what a difference Julen has made in such a short space of time with certain players. I can see why they may think we need to focus on other areas first. Obviously if the right player comes along, we should be looking at it, but I wouldn't be bringing someone in on loan like Spence, when we have our own players that we can develop, and have looked fine, here already.

With the AWB and Spence links I think we are definitely looking to bring in a right back and rightly so.

Out of those 2 links, the only credible link has been AWB.

Tons of noise out there but there is really only about 3 or 4 (and one 10 minutes later) that you can take as being genuine when they speak. Rest of the time the majority is people firing out names to attract followers or get clicks onto websites

AWB I’m guessing is if United have a suitable replacement for him? As they still seem to be working Dalot back in after the World Cup

This Ben Jacobs is apparently a good source for Spurs stuff.

Regardless of whether we sign either of those players mentioned I'd say it's pretty clear we want a right back.

Spence would be a massive risk. No experience in a top league and his high point at Forest was as a RWB, whilst being suspect defensively. Exciting player, but a hard pass from me, unless Lop wants to go back to 3 centre halves

Would be a big upgrade in an attacking sense but have no clue from a defensive aspect. Wager worse, particularly if he’s not getting in ahead of Doherty and Emerson Royale.

Too much of a risk from my limited knowledge but if the club have had a look and think the opposite then fair enough.
