General Wolves News

Holiday Madeley says a four year deal. Was due to be out of contract at the end of the season (we probably had/have an option though).
Can anyone say with any authority (I’ve not seen much of him) whether he’s any good?

Or is he another Conor Ronan who we keep giving contracts to, loaning out and then spending millions on a Portuguese wimp to play in his place?

Hard to say, he's frequently the best player for the 21s but the standard is shite and of no value when working out if someone's suitable for senior football.

I would rather play him than Guedes who is rotten.

He looks ready for the step up into league football.

He likes to cut in from the wide areas and drive towards goal. He's slight but deceptively strong and over 6ft. Technically he's very good with r ball at his feet, gliding past players, but lacks in decision making, which is understandable. He can sometimes look lazy, he isn't, he's just a bit lacking awareness right now but his work ethic and determination are good and with to level coaching he should be able to move at the right times and angles.

In other circumstances he would be loaned out to a championship club in the same way Corbeanu and Cundle have been.

For now I think he'd do a good job coming in for Adama/ Guedes as he can score goals and likes to get shots off from all angles.

I listen to the Wolfwhistle podcast occasionally, not been much to interest me lately but the current episode has Bully on it. Lots of old fashioned football clichés, the guy that does it tends to get his facts a bit confused sometimes, but for all that it's a fun listen, especially for those of us who saw him play.
Yeah i like to give these listen, i've found the more obscure ones more interesting than the higher profile players.

The presenter does indeed get mixed up, and has quite an "unusual" voice.

But it's good Wolves content on the whole.

Looks like he lacks a bit of pace to truly make it at the tope level?

Oh he's quick but not express. A bit like Jack Harrison or Jadon Sancho, who I'd liken him to.

It's the speed he moves his feet that'll give him the edge.

Ha, sorry - didn’t see the other thread.

Wondered why I was the only one that knew 😂😂

Ignore 🤣

On a visit to Club América

“I have always thought of returning, hopefully one day it will happen again”

I'd hope he/we would see what he offers under another manager before leaving. Does feel like it's coming to an end though as has the vast majority of that good team. If you take the first 11 from the end of the first PL season as the high water mark.
Gone
Patricio
Doherty
Coady
Boly
Saiss
Jota
Dendoncker

Here
Raul
Neves
Moutinho
Jonny

At least 3 of which really don't or at least didn't want to be

It’s over - we’re Watford and West Brom rolled into one. Nuno’s dream is part of our history. The present is really not looking good.
