General Wolves News

nothing wring with him saying that. indeed creates more of an understanding between him and the lad that this is 2 human beings having a talk.

The little chat in the dugout was great. Simple message, relatable but oh so powerful. That'll stick with Logan for the rest of his life, I'm sure.

Wolves have put together an in-house documentary on Jimenez's injury and recovery, and the BBC are sticking it on the iPlayer tomorrow as well as showing a chunk on Football Focus.

The Athletic have a preview of it, and it sounds like a tough watch.

The horrific sounds, the screams, the shock, the panic. It all hits you in an overwhelming sensory overload. A man’s life is in immediate danger and the whole thing is being played out in front of millions of people watching it happen on television.

You see Raul Jimenez’s limp body, his eyes closed. Lifeless. Cut to Nuno Espirito Santo, present-day, reliving those moments. It’s too much for even a strong character like him to comprehend how a man he adored was in such peril… and he breaks down in tears.

This is Raul Jimenez: Code Red, a new documentary being released tomorrow (Saturday) that charts the horrific incident that could so easily have ended Jimenez’s life, let alone his career, as well the heart-warming recovery which followed.

It's weird, thinking back on the incident, I knew it was bad but nothing set off the "life threatening" flags in my brain. Maybe I just wasn't watching close enough? Freely admit that I have not watched any replays of it and don't care to.

It still winds me up no end that Luiz totally got away with this.

The Graham Hughes stand continue to be out of action until at least the New Year. Not the clubs fault though.
Looks like a claim will be going on somewhere, someones in trouble.

I had a go at the club over this when it was first revealed however, if it was a structural issue then this is far from the clubs fault, just unfortunate timing. I really think they should take this opportunity to install a permeant stand there, one that faces the pitch maybe.

Difficult to do that as the pitch of the South bank and the BWL are quite different. You would actually have to pitch the stand up to the bottom row of the BWU to avoid restricted views I think so then their would be a wall at the end of the lower to support the corner, a bit like (I think) the Matthew Harding at Chelsea. But again, would that match the pitch the other side of the structure on the south bank? It’s quite a tight spot to have any significant change of pitch.

It would be tricky no doubt about it but I would probably align it with the Billy Wright (even having some media boxes in there), maintaining an upper and lower. Then just wall up against the SB where the angle doesn't align.

Be a shed load of money for a 1000 seats or so but why not...

If the South Bank is the steepest pitch you would need to match against that or you create restricted views.

Theres restricted views now, you can't see the SB goal from half the stand. there would be a way round iteven if you have 2 pitches one for the lower stand to match the SB, and one for the top tier matching the BW.

You can do alot with corner sections, its certainly not without precedence. I do think SJH and MacAlpines really failed to think about future developments

My concern is you end up with walking down a row having a significant slope. That’s never a good thing. If going permanent (they won’t) then surely you pitch it against the steepest pitch abutting unless it creates restricted views in the existing stands, which it shouldn’t as it is a corner.

Not a bad guess, the Corner stand to the Valley holds 2300 seats maybe we'd get a few more, its not a bad bump in numbers but wouldn't be worth the expense

Shame. I like the Valley. I am biased as my one visit was one of the best mentals I have been in, but I loved the way the home end looked with the corners. Good ground.
