Fulham - Wolves matchday thread

This has been shocking. Everyone has been incredibly poor except Boly.

Utterly, utterly disappointing and unacceptable.

Bit over dramatic - it’s a pretty even game, just a shitty goal to give away

It really is. It's as bad a first half as I've seen from us in ages.
Fulham have had one chance that was a result of half the team having a brain fart. Other than that it's been gentle sparring from both sides, Wolves have had openings to create something but players have lacked conviction to really make a go of things at key times. It's been steady for the most part.

As poor a half as ive seen from us this season, we reaaaaallly miss Neves. Both Alf and Saiss sloppy in possession and not really picking the right passes. Fulham look well up for it and are very much on top at the moment. I would take both Alf and Bonatini off asap, Bonatini has worked hard but offered virtually nothing whereas Alf has misplaced far too many simple passes for my liking.

Major improvement needed 2nd half, a draw will be a very good result for us.

Not how I've seen it at all. Maybe I'm emotional as I've just spent $1300 on a car repair that didn't work, but I think we've been fucking dreadful.

Leo has been pretty anonymous again. Cosga needs to get stuck in a bit more.

Alf has probably been our best player, which says a lot.

Jota on for Leo ASAP please Nuno.

Pure hyperbole, we’ve been nowhere near dreadful. We were for their goal but other than that we’ve been OKish.

I do sometimes wonder if I'm watching a different game to most Wolves fans. Up until the goal we were playing perfectly well and very comfortable against a good Fulham side who we'd restricted to nothing and had w couple of opportunities ourselves. The goal was the result of an awful header from N'diaye leaving him out of position then Bennett's panicked (unnecessarily) clearance. Then both he and Doherty were completely flatfoooted on the rebound.

The pantwetting is in full flow on Facebook, couple of people even saying we'll be lucky to make the the playoffs at this rate,I've basically told them all to fuck right off

I too think we have been pretty bloody awful. Very casual, lots of poor passing and giving away possession very easily. Don't think anyone has performed very well. Boly best of a bad bunch. Costa has been a waste of a shirt.

Think we've played okay, but very poor goal to concede. We're playing a very good side here. A fair scoreline at half time.

It's certainly not anywhere near as bad as some are making out and we've definitely got goals in us.

A series of poor things lead to the goal.

N'Diaye, Bennett, Coady, Doherty.

All not doing a good job.

I agree with this. Up until the goal it felt like it was heading towards a 0-0 to me, tbh. Both teams have had chances and decent passages of play, and even though Fulham might have edged it slightly, it feels unfair to say their goal represents a true difference in performance between them and Wolves.

That said, there have been more mistakes in possession than normal, reflecting Neves’ absence in part, but also that some players (particularly N’Diaye) are strugging to connect passes.

we had a 10 minute spell not long before the goal where we started to get going, but we have been very stop/start and the sloppy play from a few players is making that worse for us.

Time to see what were made of.

It might be a bit early, but maybe teams have worked us out a bit and we need to change

Needs more dynamism going forwards which we get best from jota in the place of bonatini, issue with that though is I'm not convinced ndaiye or saiss have the range or capacity to play the appropriate passes for such a fluid forward line

Far too casual for me. We seriously miss Jota and his drive. Costa seems to pull out of every tackle. If there aren't subs at HT is a mistake

We don't need to change how we're playing, we just need to execute far, far better. More passes than I can count in that half went either out of play, hit the first defender, or were intercepted.

The less said about Costa's performance, the better.

Agreed, even Ruddy could've done better I think, good save but always looks sloppy when you just pop it back out into the middle of the goal ripe for a tap in.

Think there needs to be some change in personnel to be more confident of getting a goal but there's certainly scope to make chances if there's a bit more desire to force the issue rather than pass the buck when things look a bit risky or difficult.
