Into March now and we've slipped to 5th although only 9 points separate 1st-7th. Won the League Cup final against Stoke so we're in Europe whatever happens in the rest of the season :)

Season 4 – league Champions :cheerleader: . United pushed us all the way but finished 2 points behind on 92 points. Knocked out in the QF of the Champions’ League by Roma, and in the mid-stages of each cup. Busy summer, selling about 15 players, and bringing in Phil Jones, Sergio Busquets (on a free!), and finally Romario as well as the usual 5-10 kids. 16 points from the first 5 games is a good start to the season, too.

One thing that’s proving useful is hoovering up released 18 year-olds, keeping them for a season and then selling them for £200k-£2m. Some I’m forced to release, but I generally make a tidy profit on them which helps me keep my u18s well stocked with talent.

My u18s is now chock full (18 out of 23 lads) of 4 star potential and creaming their league. My ressies are all 19-21 now and mostly 3.5-4.5 star potential, after my successful summer sales wise, and pissing the reserve league too.

My first team squad is thus – all real players:

GK - Parma 1st choice, ter Stergen back up
RB – Walker 1st choice, Romario back up
LB – Fuch 1st choice, kid back up
CB – Jones, Kaboul and Tegernian (sp) rotate, Caulker back up
RM – Baier first choice, Adam Johnson back up
LM – Alba first choice, Villavuen back up,
DCM – Busquets and Bender
ACM – Erikkson with Popov backing up
FW – Kadlec, Idiye, Fierro, Sahi.

Many of the 18-21 year olds are 2.5-3.5 star players already and so I’m blooding them in from the bench. I’ve got about 7 players out on loan playing in Serie A and Ligue Un so the future is looking good – of my core squad, there’s only really Walker, Kaboul, Johnson, Busquets and Idiye that will need punting on in the next year or two whilst they’ve still got a value, but I’ve got 2-3 kids for every position so hopefully won’t need to buy.

I've just started my fifth season, came third again in season four but this time much closer to the top. Started with a 3-1 victory over Blackpool and a 3-3 draw with Chelsea, Torres popping up with a 93rd minute equaliser for them after I was forced down to nine men due to injuries.

Like Del, I've got an array of good quality youngsters in my reserves and out on loan but my U18's are all piss poor. I've had no remotely decent players come through my own academy.

I've changed my outlook on the team this year, I can't compete financially with my rivals and I'm still adhering to a strict wage budget so I'm going out and trying to sign the best youngsters I can and develop them.

My squad as it stands:

GK: David Ospina, Wayne Hennessey
RB: Kyle Walker, Martin Kelly
LB: Lucas Digne, French regen (cost 12m)
CB: Rafael Toloi, Ezequiel Munoz, Younes Kaboul, Roger Johnson

CM: Ross Barkley, Jack Rodwell, Jamie O'Hara, Cheick Tiote, Josip Illcic
WM: Lucas Moura, Adam Johnson, Zeli Ismail, Dusan Tadic, Gerard Deulofeu

FW: Carlos Fierro, Erick Torres, Danny Welbeck, Steven Fletcher

I've managed to make a deal with Heerenveen to loan players out, so I've signed a number of classy youngsters who need first team football straight away and sent them their for the season. In addition, I've got youngsters in the Championship with Charlton and League One with Torquay.

None of my good u18s are from the academy, they're all bought. The 23 have probably cost in the region of £30m in total, accumulated over 4-5 windows.

I'd have to check, but I've got a total net transfer spend of about £80m for the career so far, but last year was the second successive year I didn't make a profit. I'm taking long term view on that, though - I'll make a loss for maybe 2-3 seasons, but then won't have to make any decent purchases for a good few years, and my wage bill be a lot lower, leading to a period of larger profits. The youth purchasing system will be financed by selling those not quite good enough to achieve core squad status before they're 22, and I reckon that by 2020 my overall career will see a net profit in terms of transfer dealings. At that point, with (hopefully) some more trophies and the club set up for the next few years, I'll look for another job.

Is that 23 excluding those in your reserves too? My reserve team is around 22-25 strong, but most are now at the time they need prolonged first team experience.

My net spend is around 50m, but that's swayed significantly by my purchase of Lucas Moura for 20m. I made a loss of 5m last season, but it would have been a profit of 10m as the board are splashing out 15m on expanding the stadium to around 45k.

This is probably going to be the last season for Hennessey (I'll have plentiful numbers of home grown players), RoJo, Kaboul, Tiote and then possibly O'Hara (his stats are excellent), Illcic, Adam Johnson and Fletcher. In addition some of my youngsters are hitting 20 and I can get some good money for them. I've got an abundance of classy young cm's.

Who's your highest earner? Moura is mine on 45k, and my wage budget is just over 775k.

I sold Dusan Tadic on deadline day, so I've made a profit of 3m on transfer dealings this summer whilst improving my squad. Win.

I've had to check my figures as I was doubting myself. It's now October 2016.

You're in your sixth season then yeh?

That's one hell of a hefty wage budget, I'm 650k per week less than that, what on earth do you pay your players? I guess having 34 classy players outside of the actual first team is a major contributor.

I've not won anything yet, not got anywhere near a cup final, and I've not started too brightly in the league this season either.

Just started my 6th season. Must have lost a season when I said I'd won league in season 4! They're all real players. I shifted my re-gens for the purpose of showing the squad.

Quality squad you have there, looks crazy seeing a Wolves team paying people over £100k a week!

Younes Kaboul, 105k a week? Are you fucking mental?

No idea who Parmo, Sari, Villacian, Baier, Popov or Fuchs are. They don't exist on my game and I've never heard of them before.

Figueirido and Ogenda looks pants, must have done well developing them

Kaboul is Wolves legend! 4 seasons, 30+ league games in each, over 7.15 every season. He rocks.

He's class for me, but he's only on 35k a week here!

Who are the other guys?

Burnley have just been spanked 8-0 by Man City, and that was a match between second and third.
