Fierro is unbelievable in my save as well (on other teams). Way better than he was in FM12.

Narrowly escaped relegation... was in 17th place, tied with points but up on goal differential, final game was vs 18th place. Won.

Quite a number of new high quality youngsters incoming and because I'm operating on such a low budget (250k/w), profits were ridiculous in our first premier league season. Out of nowhere there's suddenly 40 million to spend and I can bring in a number of developed players on top of my youngsters. Also just moved into our own newly built stadium, already have expansions approved, and senior/junior training facilities both being improved. ONWARD, GLOUCESTER!! :D

I bought a new laptop last week and installed this game. Upon starting my new game it said my computer performance is half a star and my game speed would be 1 and a half stars. Can somone help me to understand how to speed it up.

The laptop I bought: HP Laptop

Well that's a low end dual core, it's just not a terribly fast machine for number crunching. The game didn't give you a recommended setup to get you up toward 3 stars? Removing the number of leagues/players is the only way to make it faster.

Yeah, just saw that the processor is completely shite. I got them stars with just England and small database.

Missus is now on the phone to currys to see if I can come in and upgrade it to a much better one.

My processor is as bad as processors 5 years ago. Your i3 is faster than mine.

And I can't take it back to upgrade it. Even when it's only been 5 days.

I wouldn't worry too much about the star ratings. They don't necessarily correlate very accurately to performance. It's quite a crude model they use. Play through for a while and see how it goes.

Agree with this, I've got a 2007 MacBook I think it is, it says with the leagues I run (15 with 14 nations), it will run at half a star, it's like lightening, if it starts to get slow, just remove unsubscriptions, remove scout reports, take the detail level down to none and that should help!

Just started playing the 2013 Handheld version on the iPad. Nowhere near as much fun as the proper game and there is virtually no info online about tactics & good players. Still it's better than no FM at all I suppose.

It was running really slowly. All ok now. I took it back and got a Sony vaio.

A friend at work has FM13. The year is currently 2015 where Wolves just got relegated despite winning the FA Cup and playing in the Europa League for the past few seasons. As part of the firesale, Danny Batth when to Spurs for £9M!

Batth is quality on FM13, I ballsed up by letting him go quite early on as I didn't think he was great but he's now worth a lot and playing at the top end of the Premiership.

He's decent on the handheld version too. Though he's on the bench for me currently behind Johnson and some bloke I bought called Emir Spahic, who the board were chuffed I got.

Just finished a ridiculous season, I ended up winning the league with a quite unbelievable 97 points but still had to get at least a draw on the final day to do it, Man Utd lost 2 of their last 3 as fixtures piled up which handed me the chance. Lost on penalties in the semi final of the FA Cup and Champions League but in the quarters of the CL we beat Real Madrid 4-0 for my finest hour so far. Kalenga scored 30 goals, Bell was ridiculous again with an average rating of 7.98 and an aussie regen midfielder I picked up on a free looks absolutely superb and had a great season and is now worth over £12m.

Am I missing something or is there simply no easy way to search for youth coaches?

Not really, you can put out an advert or go on staff search and look for people with high working with youngsters stats that have good coaching stats too.

That's what I ended up doing, just sort of a pain since more than half the people listed aren't interested in Under 18 or Reserve coaching. Seems kinda silly to have all those options for coach searching, while leaving out other blatant options. Oh well.
