Depending on the formations I'm using I'll be using him up top as a DLP or as an AP underneath. All of the other strikers are young, very fast players that I'm trying to develop. Figured a veteran with ridiculous technical stats would be a good combination. As it's my first season up top you can imagine that anyone else I can actually buy isn't even close.

Looking at his stats, he might make a decent DLP, definitely got the first touch, creativity and passing for it.

I've just completed my first season on my post new patch Wolves save, got promoted with 104 points, 25 clear of 2nd placed Ipswich(!)

I pretty much just signed youngsters that would get better for future, kind of future proofing my side, so I got Lorenzo Tassi from Inter, Carlos Fierro, Mattheus from Flamengo, Ben Amos (who was an absolute bargain for £650k!), Jano from Spartak and Ryan Gauld from Dundee Utd, amongst quite a few others, Tassi, Fierro, Jano were on loan to begin with, but in January I got given £13m for winning the title so I made Tassi and Fierro's loan moves permanent. In January I also signed Max Meyer from Schalke for £1.7m, and Dragan Paljic, a left back from Heracles.

As for sales, I sold JOH, Duracell Dave, Wardinho, Hunt for a combined fee of around £12m, got £5m from QPR for JOH, Ward went to Saints for £4m, Edwards to Norwich for £2m, and Hunt to Leicester for £375k (just wanted him off the books).

Finished my season, checked who got relegated, none other than Sunderland and West Ham and Reading, I'd love to sign Fletcher back but he's valued at far too much! Although I did sign Mo Diame for £3.5m! Also got James McArthur from Wigan for £3m, which I'm quite pleased about. Gonna have to see what other players I can pick up, agreed a fee of £5m with Celtic for Victor Wanyama, if he comes then he'll be employed at centre half.

Pretty annoyed at myself for sending a 18 year old striker out on loan to get experience, had loads of offers and he ended up going somewhere in a league I don't have loaded so he won't play any games and there's no recall clause!

In better news I beat Zenit to qualify for the Champions League proper for the first time.

Luckily I have Mo Diame instead of Olofinjina! That guy will be my playmaker just behind Doyle/Fierro.

What skin are you using? I like the red/blue/white/grey. The stock dark skin on mine is using white/green/light-green and it's hard to eyeball stats with a quick glance.

Me? I'm using the stock dark one, but I edited the attribute colours in preferences!

I prefer darker skins, easier to read on the background for me, attribute was the only that did my head in so I just changed those colours and skins perfect for me now.

Dark skins are way more comfortable on the eyes.

I thought I could change the text color in preferences but didn't find it. Will try again tonight with sober eyes.

You can't change the text colour AFAIK without some editing, as for the attribute colour, go to Preferences, then click on the Interface tab (you start on the Overview tab), then you'll near the top left, you'll 'Skin Colours' click that tab and you'll see where you can change the colours for things like attributes, players on loan, that kind of thing.

Ahh, sorry, I find it's quite easy to see them, I could really think of another colour that would be seen, but also not make me think of good attributes (like the red does).

Oh dur it's a little tab under the interface page, heh. No idea how I missed that before. And to think I troubleshoot software for a living. I blame the booze.

Cut Rooney loose in the winter window. He wouldn't tutor any players, talked shit to me when I said he should be a coach (despite having staff attributes and wanting to be a coach), got 3 red cards in something like 11 appearances, acted like a whiney asshole when I fined him after the 3rd time, wouldn't talk to me after, wouldn't accept contracts to change to a coach even after announcing retirement, was useless on the pitch....

Saving myself half a million between now and the summer window. Shitty attitude, not doing the team any good, mutual termination time. GTFO rooney.

edit -- only 23 points in 23 games. And I just won two.... hopefully kicking wayne's ass out spurs the team on. Teetering into relegation

Just had my best game on FM, and quite possibly the best performance from a player on all my FM's, just played Spurs with my Wolves side, won 6-1, Fierro grabbing all 6 goals! Also had one disallowed! This kid is just unstoppable.
