Think Neto/Jiminez/Podence have all been good, just unused to linking with each other. Young Pedro and Portuguese Dan are very different players from Jota and Adama.

Quality from Podence that half. Midfield two been very good, controlling it. Defence had nothing to do. WBs don’t have the attacking quality to make the difference in games we are controlling

For all his flaws Pickford is actually a decent penalty saver, first time I was somewhat concerned we may not score... no reason to be! Great pen. Lovely bit of skill by Podence to win us that pen.

Has kind of felt like Podence isn't on the same wavelength as the rest of the team this half, but he's brought us that bit of flair to get us a first-half goal for once. Can't complain.

Deserved the lead in spite of not really creating very many chances. Everton have been awful and that has meant the game has been fairly dull. We've played better than the last couple of games, but we have found it hard to break through their 10 man defence. Podence been the shining light.
