Not really a surprise considering how much of their operations they've moved in recent years.
That and the smell of Goodyear if you lived on the north side of townThat's a shame. Since I was a kid the smell of the brewery was one I always associated with visiting Wolverhampton and going to Molineux.
Burton used to stink full stop. Not sure if it was the breweries or the marmite factory. As someone who worked at a Brewery for many years, I associate it with the thick cloying smell of malt, as I used to walk past massive 50ft tall tanks of it when walking to the on site canteen every morning.
Both tbh. They are near enough to each other that the smells combined and if the town centre was down wind then you could always smell it there too.Burton used to stink full stop. Not sure if it was the breweries or the marmite factory.
