For that to be possible the four qualifying third place teams need to come from groups ABCD, ACDE or ACDF. A is a given as Switzerland are in. B is incredibly unlikely to make it with Finland on 3 points and -2 goal difference. It would need Portugal to lose 4 nil to be even a starter. So then it needs to be ACDE or ACDF.

Most possible is ACDF. This needs Spain and Poland to both lose their final matches and Portugal to not lose heavily. If that happens then the small matter of Scotland beating Croatia and the Netherlands and Wales beating Denmark.

I should be putting this in the Annoy thread but I'm sick of reading pieces by the BBC and other pundits on who should play for England but none of them are willing to say who they should come in for.
