Euro 2020

Top penalty
It’s an elbow to the face whether intentional or accidental, stops Schick heading the ball. It’s harsh but the rules will dictate that.
Its soft and I don't think it would ever have got referred back to the ref in the Premier League. I think its one of those that definitely gets given as a freekick if its on the halfway line but never as a penalty. However if the ref awards it straight away then it probably doesn't get overturned either.

yeah, he will play in one of the bigger clubs for sure..just 21 also, 17 goals in La Liga this year for Sociedad
I'm banning us from ever signing anyone off them again.

They literally both jump exactly the same. Lovren just gets higher and therefore catches him as Tredman says.

While I understand that var advised the ref to have a look, it was still the refs decision... ref error rather than var

Yeah outside the box it’s given as a free kick, football has always had an unwritten rule of the threshold being higher once in the box.

Just looking at England v Scotland record 48w-41w a lot closer than I thought.
Then realised England barely played what would have felt like a home fixture for about 80 years.
Old days you would have had 70,000 Scotland fans in Wembley.

It’s not even a foul outside the box. He’s not charged in there and forearm smashed him Andy Carroll style. Literally two standing jumps, two identical silhouettes/body mechanics. One just gets caught.

So which PL side will pay over the odds for Schick based on a couple of games in a tournament? I'll go West Ham

Clash of heads yes it wouldn’t be given once someone elbow makes contact with the face a good chance a free kick will be given

I feel for Louvren there, if he doesn't use his arms / elbows then Shtick beats him in the air (who also used his arms / elbows to get elevation).

If that's a foul then they should state that arms cannot be used to gain aerial momentum. To only give a foul if the arms catch someone doesn't seem right, it's harsh to expect players to know when they can and can't use arms

Can’t be worse than there purchase of Florian Raduciou was on Oxford Street shopping with Mrs on match day.

Which is bad refereeing. You’re making your decision on an unfortunate outcome rather than intent. Same as Son got sent off against Andre Gomes, sent off because he broke his leg (wasn’t even the tackle which broke his leg), but was rightly overturned.

Not saying I agree with it just saying what we all know happens.

1-1 Excellent strike by Perisic, although keeper should do better in hindsight.

Scotland going for it 2 up top with Gilmore behind the top 2.
